What is Victoria being so hushed about? Is she using 3rd world child labor to produce her overpriced panties and bras?

Most people don't like secrets in my opinion.

this one is for my mom since today is her birthday. tell me what you think!!! =)

Silence and running thoughts is all I need.
To pour out all of my feelings, to let my heart bleed
No one to bother me, completely alone
To tell different stories about over the years I’ve grown.

Living for the day, seizing what you have is sometimes hard to see.
Instead you look at all of the bad things that have happened and disagree
That you ever had anything to be happy for
You should take what you have for that day, and soar.

There have been different things I have written about
Those people and events I will never forget without a doubt.

When I am alone and have the chance to write whatever I choose
I have the world in front of me without anyone else’s views.
Sometimes the things people have to say can change the way you feel
With the blank paper in front of you there is nothing to conceal.

I do not think I will ever put these feelings to rest, they will always be here
Mentioning the ones who hurt me, will always and forever make me shed a tear

Have you ever done something selfless for a stranger, and done so without telling a soul who knows you? How did it make you feel, and did you struggle with telling someone what you'd done in hopes of getting a good ol' pat on the back?

I have a friend I live with and for the last couple weeks he would grumble and get upset every morning about his ear "clicking". It came to a head this morning and he really started to throw a fit about it and then started screaming "Shut up!" "Shut up!" why lying down in the bed
I was not saying a thing but I tried talking to him, to calm him down.
"Both of you shut up!" He kept saying this over and over everytime I tried talking to him to calm him down..
No one besides me and him in the house.
So this got me quite concerned when he said this.
What could be wrong?

A common response to the question of, "Am I serving as a poor role model as a SAHM" seems to be, "as long as you don't encourage your daughters to do the same." Is it equally coercive to encourage daughters to pursue a career?

I'm not talking about wanting to see them well-educated, as I think every parent wants that. I myself plan to encourage all my children to be educated, to have a fulltime job for some period of time, to learn *how* to have a career, etc. But I wonder if insisting that SAHMs must carefully encourage daughters to be "more" than they are points to a lack of respect for the role of mother.

Is it equally bad to encourage girls to be "career primary" women? If you support choice, why must some choices be apologized for and activly discouraged?

Incredible level of vitriol and ego inflation in the various organizations is appalling.
How can we return to academic dialogue and an analytical rational mindedness when they have lowered the level of discourse to the epithets and snarling contempt inherent in the Skeptical Inquirer.
We should be as skeptical of "So called proven theory as new and radical ones. Most theory fail at somepont when a better paradigm mathematically comes along. To accept the big bang unequivocally, with its 100 year old search for dark matter and more patch's than windows XP,and yet totally ignore the many proven instances of anomalous phenomena is not being skeptical.

How many have daughters,
and how many have wives?

I am curious because,I believe every woman is a feminist.
and every father and husband should be aswell.

Would it bother you if your wife or daughter went to work
worked hard all week, and then their male boss said,

" because you have great big Breasts, I will throw you and extra 5 dollars and patted her on the bottom?

OR

" Because your belly is a little flabby after having 5 children
and your daughter looks like her father, I think your only worth
3 dollars."

My aunt--shes been described as selfish. She's a musician one day, she walked out on a concert performance because she didn't like duets. All my life, her family has been jealous of us because we "bought the house out from under them" (we didn't, back them my mom said, she offered it to them! The funny thing is, we were never trying to make her feel inferior in any way. years later, there's a huge tragedy in our family. She made me feel so bad and poured salt in that wound at the time of my deepest pain. Then, she calls back once in a while to say that, her daughter is getting married, or so in so is making a lot of money trying to tick us off. Its like she can finally One-up us (however we never thought of things that way!!!) excuse us for mourning. How do I handle her?

Why are so many people in America in a sense sheeple? I mean when there are mainstream events going on a great majority of them rally behind one bandwagon or another. Very few people I see actually follow certain fashions and bandwagons because they look at the facts. Most I know follow these trends just because they think its cool or better without exploring the facts. Why do people tend to believe everything the media tells them sometimes? I mean, are there even that many skeptics anymore? Because I know that most of what I hear and half of what I see is deceiving especially in the long run. So why don't most people get this? In 1993, everything the media said about the Clinton health plan wasn't necessarily explanation of the facts, and in 2003 the media wasn't exactly right on the Iraq War either. My point: question most if not all of what you hear... at least SOME!!
