Why are so many people in America in a sense sheeple? I mean when there are mainstream events going on a great majority of them rally behind one bandwagon or another. Very few people I see actually follow certain fashions and bandwagons because they look at the facts. Most I know follow these trends just because they think its cool or better without exploring the facts. Why do people tend to believe everything the media tells them sometimes? I mean, are there even that many skeptics anymore? Because I know that most of what I hear and half of what I see is deceiving especially in the long run. So why don't most people get this? In 1993, everything the media said about the Clinton health plan wasn't necessarily explanation of the facts, and in 2003 the media wasn't exactly right on the Iraq War either. My point: question most if not all of what you hear... at least SOME!!

What saddens me is that most Americans that I know don't support the tyranny, death, and destruction that is being imposed on our fellow human beings. We believe strongly that taking another life isn't right by any stretch of the imagination. It is reprehensible that our leaders profess that they have a divine right to cause war. I can't understand why throughout the entire time I was in school that I was always taught that violence wasn't the answer, yet when you turn 18 a recruiter is wanting you to sign up for the military with a good chance that you will have to take another person's life.
We barely remember what came before this precious moment. We are choosing to be here, right now. We must learn to recognize this one brief space in time as a holy experience and celebrate this chance to be alive and breathing.
Tim Leary said it best - "Think for yourself, question authority. Throughout human history, as our species have faced the fact that we do not know or where we are going in this ocean chaos; it has been the authorities; the political, religious, educatonal authorites who have attempted to comfort us by giving us order, rule, regulation; informing, forming in our minds their view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority."

Do you even live in America? The vast majority of us actually do think and act on our own rationalizations. If you know a few who dont fit this standard...well...sorry for you. Too many people in other parts of the world sheepily buy into what the media portrays us to be, so question that as well.
