Incredible level of vitriol and ego inflation in the various organizations is appalling.
How can we return to academic dialogue and an analytical rational mindedness when they have lowered the level of discourse to the epithets and snarling contempt inherent in the Skeptical Inquirer.
We should be as skeptical of "So called proven theory as new and radical ones. Most theory fail at somepont when a better paradigm mathematically comes along. Yes! Someone else who doesn't blindly follow the big bang theory!!! But buddy! Were at a first in human history! Its been ALONG time coming!!! For once, maybe, just maybe, we can have a combination of science and religion into a new spirituality. Because you like me, understand that science doesn't disprove a maker, shoot and only proves what can not prove false at that time, disregarding the few laws that we have, which wow, to disprove those.... but I digress again. This is a symptom of a social ego problem that's a fundamentally based on the fact man needs an identity. But our society pretty much says hey, go find you a new one, not good for us, not good. We need a path given to us, because it takes more then a life-time to find one that actually creates and gives people the power to care for what they create. So this runs deeper too, even then egos, its about mans need to belong, comfounded by mans need to understand. Since religions fundamentally breed, both pride and fear (a lack of understanding) it's going to affect peoples abilities to self-actualize. This would leave them, no matter the individual, pretty much like frighten kiddos, just going thru the motions, so lets show them a little compassion?
