I took a personality tests and the results said that "my ego needs are exceptionally strong". What exactly does that mean?

It means you look to others for approval and require a lot of reassurance from others. "Good job." "You were great today." In short you require others to massage your ego in order to feel good about yourself.

Hi, ego covers a whole load of things including how competitive you are, how dedicated you are and how willing you are to do things. If you have a high ego it means you are a lot of the things above!! Also known as super-ego.

my ego needs are exceptionally strong. alright first of all what is ego? Ego is something which makes us feel superior to others and as a result leads to problems in the relationship with others. if our ego increases then we feel reluctant to listen to any opinion given by our friends and others. we find our discission the right one and hence move on it.so,this shows your strong feeling of superiority as compared to others, opposing their views.

It means you need to boost yourself up to squash your fears. or simply put "you are insecure down deep inside", but you hide it by acting like a tough guy.
