My girlfriend doesn't ever wear a stitch of make up and has the most beautiful face but can't believe how pretty she is. Sometimes I find myself just staring at her because she's just so incredibly pretty. Why doesn't she think so? But even more importantly (to me), why does she think I'm lying about it or just saying it "because I'm in love", according to her? Is having low self esteem part of being a woman or something" Can someone PLEASE help me understand this?

Many deny that life has meaning or purpose. But rephrase the question to "do you have anything to live for?" and suddenly there are answers. An answer of "nothing to live for" would immediately warn us of the possibility of suicide. This is serious business.

It seems to me that if there is no purpose of our existence here on earth, then we must invent "purposes" in order to avoid suicide. We have to have a psychological crutch for our own mental health.

But it seems that not just any invented purpose will do. For example, very few people collect old chewing gum wrappers as their purpose in life. No, it has to be a noble purpose, e.g. "make a difference", "feed the hungry", "learn all you can", etc.

It looks to me like we're inventing purposes to keep our sanity but then convincing ourselves that the purpose is for a higher cause than just our own mental health.

Do you find that odd?

What exactly is a nervous breakdown? I am apathetic about work. Luckily, I am financially independent after years of really hard slog.got highly qualified..even to executive level. I'm a woman in her mid forties, single but not by choice. I never met the right guy. I still get asked out quite often usually by much younger guys as many people tell me I look in my early 30s. I'm physically healthy and in good condition . The problem is I get obsesses with things. At the moment it is a guy I'm crazy about who isn't returning the same feelings & I can't get over him even though I try. I'm supposed to go to an interview for a job today but can't motivate myself. I'm thinking of cancelling a night with an old friend tomorrow. I feel I've been a failure in my life as I don't have a

If a man is so worried about being able to trust a woman, why is he going to take her word for it?
Is he so ignorant that he supposes being "intact" is always a sure sign? Or that NOT being intact is a sure sign?
How would he find that out prior to marriage?
Will he have her submit to a gynecological exam? Produce medical documents?

Or will he dump her after "discovering" on their wedding night?

Do these guys even think things through at all?

so lately i've been having these dreams about killing people. I'm a really nice girl though & I know I don't secretly want to kill anyone!

2 nights ago, i dreamed that i shot one of the boys i'm dating (I'm seeing 2 guys & have issues deciding who i want to commit to) & was trying to figure out what to say to his mom whom i've never met about the whole situation. everyone was acting like im crazy for caring.. & the best advice i got was to appologize & say its a shame that it happened before his 22nd birthday.

Then last night I had two dreams in a row but they pretty much were the same.. there was a "bad guy" that was trying to hurt me and whoever else i was with. he had a face but i don't remember what he looked like... and I kicked him out of a window where he fell to his death. In one dream it was a high rise business or a hotel, & in the other it was at a 2nd or 3rd story home.

Any help as to of what this might mean?
I've looked it up but i've gotten all sorts of answers.

[2 years ago I was staying in Gulf Breeze, Florida.]

"One night I had a dream, which during it felt entirely real. I saw a creature, greenish/blue with large brown/black eyes that showed me "the universe" and all these civilizations and wars, and different types of "beings". This creature did not speak to me verbally, rather I heard in my mind what I can only say would be the creatures' "thoughts beaming towards me".

Towards the end of the dream it was as if I was being "led home" and showed up until the present day, moving-video-multimedia style history lesson."

[upon awakening i immediately recalled the dream as best i could in writing, as above stated. i don't know if this would be considered a "UFO SIGHTING" or "just a dream"? But I am looking for answers: what is your interpretation of this? should I contact anyone about this, to share this experience, or is it best left "a dream of no significance"? thanks for your sincere answers.]

Can you learn social skills after a certain age? My brother, who's a smart guy in sociology, said that you either have them or not. But my opinion is that you can improve them, by reflection and reading self-help books.
Example: communication, negociation, defense in relation with others.

Often you see beautiful girls with bad habits such as smoking, drugs, excessive drinking, tramp stamps (tattoos), and being whores. No, not all of them are but the majority. It is so rare to find beautiful girls with goodie-too-shoes attitudes and good morals. Why?

In my dream, I was in a cave with a mexican woman and her two kids...a boy and a girl around the ages 6-9. [I am a 50% mexican, and 50% white and 15] Well...throughout my dream, I kept thinking to myself..."Did I kill someone in my dream or for real? Oh my god! I hope not for real!" And I went outside...and it was a desert. I was going to go back home. I was climbing a chain link fence and the lady came to me and said. "I can't take it anymore. I don't want to stay here, alone." I noticed a car behind her so we all could escape and go home.
I started to climb down the fence and began to tell her, "It's okay. We will take the----" and then she took a gun and shot herself...in the head. I thought..."oh great. I gotta clean this up and what am I going to do?" And her kids were coming towards us. Her brain was on the floor. The son came to me and I told him, "Mijo....don't look down." He was stepping in her brain. I told him to go back in the cave. I covered her brain up w/part of....

Growing up, I had dreams about seeing Jesus on the cross or being around the time of the crucifixation. But it's weird, I never saw the crucifixation just the mob or being nearby but not seeing it. What do you think Christian themed dreams mean?
