Someone asked this earlier but I would like you to give me specific examples. I really find this hard to believe. Please do not give sex trade related ones.

In 2006, Cowan and Ullman conducted a study trying to find out if a woman's feeling of personal inadequacy contributed to their rejection of other woman. The results were printed in the peer-reviewed journal, Psychology of Women Quarterly. The researchers found that a woman's sense of personal inadequacy and their tendency to stereotype predicted women's hostility toward women. In turn, their hostility toward women predicted victim-blaming attitudes and less intimacy with their best female friend. The study's results provided evidence that fostering a sense of competency and self-worth among women may contribute to women's identification and liking for other women. In turn, women's liking of other women may mitigate female victim blame among women and possibly help cement the bonds that provide social support among women.

Do you think non-feminist and anti-feminist women's personal feelings of inadequacy could lead to hostility towards other women? Why or why not?

Why is it that that I like to be demeaned, put down, and otherwise abused emotionally? My mind says I hate it! But in some sick and twisted way, I get turned on in a sexual way by this.

Is this something genetic, something caused by events in my life, or is it just a choice I made and am trying to excuse it?

I do have issues with depression and social anxiety. I just want some help.

Also, nobody in the world, other than random online people who know my screen name and not my real name, know this. Not even my therapist. And yes I see a therapist so please no cracks about me being an insane sicko or whatever.

I seriously want advice on what to do, or if i should tell anyone.

Ok. This kid is 16 years old. He is SO ODD! I know he has a mental illness, I just don't know what. He doesn't appear to get any help from the school, although he may get counseling outside of school. He goes to my school and has been this was since as long as I can remember. He is white as a ghost and VERY antisocial. He WILL not talk to you unless forced. He forces himself NOT to smile or laugh when something funny happens. He gets up to do a class presentation and rambles on using large, complicated words, but when you listen closely to his speeches, he uses them at random points in the speech so his speech does NOT MAKE ANY SENSE! He also spaces out in the middle of these presentations for seconds at a time. It's very strange. He has very bad body odor, also.

P.S- His sister is the same was.

I am not trying to poke fun at this teen boy, but I am truly curious as to why he acts/looks the way he does.

Are people in the modern world any happier these days? I feel, a lot of the times. We have a false sense of happiness. We live in such a shallow age. Just count the ways. That instant gratification! We think were "living life to the fullest." Reveling in our "freedoms." But really, at the end of day. Did we, are we? At the core of it all!?

We might have made a lot changes over the past 50 years or so. But I don't think it made us necessarily happier. Just different. . .

Are people any happier in this day age?

........my department was transferred to an agency that I hate. We were told at orientation that if we don't like the idea of someone looking over our shoulders, then we may not like working for them. I promised myself I'd give it a shot, but 19 days in, they've lost 30% of the workforce they inherited. Our positions were reclassified and we're basically being hinted to go else where.

I'm a little apprehensive about leaving because I was 24 when I was hired, and now I'm 30. Not only that, I'm still working on my education and a degree is a MUST for most jobs. It's a new ball game and I'm not sure if I have what it takes to compete. Don't get me wrong, I know there's something out there for me, I'm just not sure what the next step is. Has anyone gone through this? How did you handle it?

I'm his only employee and know him through my mom. He's 48,I'm 24. He has manners & been "gentleman- like", giving innocent compliments and smiling at me. We've only shaken hands, and one time we hugged and he briefly kissed my hand, holding it with both of his-- as a warm "hello gesture" after my absence of 1 month. He's arabic and french. i was told arabic men aren't known to be loyal to their wives. True?Today he told me I'm very photogenic and that I would be a great model, basically implying "you have a nice body". He then asked how I feel about beeing married and if it changed me as a person. I told him I'm happy and gave him my take on marriages.Hetold me about his marriage(of 20 yrs). He thought about leaving his wife after 7 yrs, but decided to stay. Right now, their marriage is without substance and that it's not a real love&romance-infused marriage, implying that he's not "committed". Just my intuition to account for what I feel is implied. Will he keep me employed?

Sorry just watched snooker attempt 147 failed .My girlfriend came up with the idea that maybe the car what the McCann family hired was also hired by the person that kiddnaped Madeleine McCann so my idea is that the driver of the car which was hired from that company at the date and time of Madelleines kidnap is the kiddnaper. So anyway i would like peoples oppinion on this subject by leaving me a comment (dont worry i have unlimited memory so i can count how many)sorry snooker again. Does every one have my oppinion that the McCann family have nothing to do with the kiddnap and the above is a possible conclusion give me a comment show we are behind the Mccanns. We all have unlimited memory.

Has anyone found an effective way to deal with the narcissists that unfortunately come into their lives. I have enountered a couple of them over the last two years and it has taken a toll on me. I tried the avoidance approach when dealing with the first one but I ended up getting extremely frustrated and angry. In the second case, I was going to try the avoidance approach but it backfired because the day I was going to try that approach, I ended up verbally attacking her with sarcasm so she got to play victim and plus her daughter, who also works for the company was around when this happened so the narcissist got to put up the boundary by saying that she wouldn't allow me to disrespect her or her daughter when I finally went to management to complain about the whole working situation. I'm still very angry about all of this even though I no longer work at this place. Has anyone else found effective ways of coping with these people.
