Or, do you think other factors are the cause?

In this dream I see a herd of about 5 or 6 deer climing into and then laying down in a big tree. They are being led by a buck that I think the horns are so big it could be a moose. I spacifily say this in the dream that I think the horns are that big. I've had the dream twice now. So according to dream imagry, what do deer, trees and deer that resemble moose mean?

I mean my friends and in past relationships.

I'm 17 now and I've moved around a bit. I've had many different friends. Most of these people weren't good people. All my friends from primary school are into drugs. Some of them are in prison.

When I started my first high school I was friends with girls who were well behaved and took school seriously and were mature. Then when they turned 16 they got into drugs, alcohol, smoking and shop lifting.

I also seem to attract boys who hurt me too. I've been treated so badly by males and it never seems to stop.

I have lost nearly all of my friends. Well we still talk and stuff but we're no where near as close anymore.

I hate drinking and smoking and it seems like I've lost all my friends to this.

I hate that I'm losing everyone close to me. I don't trust people very easily, and I'm scared to make new friends because I'm moving soon.

I feel like I have to compromise my morals to have friends. Why is this happening?

it down to sleep paralysis, funny how, " In the name of Jesus, go", worked for me every time, and also for others. Is this a paralysis of the mind? I've also had the opposite experience, a visistation of what i took to be an angel, who sat on my bed and held my hand, folowed by a magical experience, one of leaving my body and floating upwards, accompanied by a sensation of leaving all worldly cares behind. It seemed to be the polar opposite of the crushing experience. These dreams were distinct from any other 'normal' dreams, they seemed real.

P.S. I have a recurring dream of being at school and being very worried that I've run out of time to finish a project, either a history project or art project - both my favourite subjects. I also realise that I haven't attended a single class all year and have no timetable. I'd love some ideas from people, as it's apparent my subconcious is trying to tell me something.

I'd like to know what some of these recurring elements in my dreams mean?

Being in my hometown - Although it's been 7 years since I lived there, I often find myself back there in dreams. The people and events are current, but the time period is the past. It doesn't matter if the dream is good or bad, I can't recall any dreams that took place outside my hometown.

Dead grandparents - I have had countless dreams about my dead grandparents over the years. Many times they are resurrected, or I have an opportunity to save them, or they are sitting in a chair talking to me as a corpse. I've also dreamt that I dug up their bodies and preserved them, while trying to bring them back to life through magical powers.

Being heterosexual - I'm gay and completely out of the closet. Everyone knows, and almost everyone I work with is gay. So I don't have any hidden issues. But in many of my dreams, I am heterosexual. Why?

I do a lot of running in dreams too.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

I could easily describe a situation, say a scene from the vilest pornography, in the most neutral, clinical terms (though I won't because it would be reported), and that that THAT is all one "really" sees and that "degradation" is just a judgment imposed by our culture and society.

Would that mean that "degradation" is just a social construct?

And if so, so what?

Would it mean that degradation doesn't exist?

Would it mean that "degradation" has no place in our discussions of human interactions? Would it mean foregoing moral judgment altogether?

The guy was pissed off and i was able to calm him down. But the more I think about it, the more i realize that i was completely defenseless in that situation. My heart was pounding and maan, you hear of these things happening but you never think of them happening to you.

I was thinking of taking up a martial art...But I wonder, would it be of any use if I'm scared sh*tless in those situations? Plus i dunno if i could bring myself to seriously hurt someone. I hear aikido is a good art for self defence and there's a club on campus but i really dont know....anyways what do ya'll think?

It is annoying when you are asking for help in a situation and people answer your question being rude it truly is a sign of bitterness.

Please don't go off on me for this, I'm just throwing it out there. now, I cherish my right to vote and everything, but it seems like as our rights as women increase the respect men have for us decreases. Women in America were never treated as bad as women in the middle east. We couldn't vote and stuff, but men held a high respect for women. Sexual harassment was much less prevalent then. Do you find this to be true?

With us guys attraction is very simple. If a woman looks good, she has sex appeal.. period. But with women, its very different. A guy can be a 10 and have no sex appeal or he can be very ugly and have sex appeal.

Seems like women find sex appeal in certain personality or character traits in men.

I'm sure its different for every women, but what turns YOU on about a man? What does he have to have to give him sex appeal vs. "just a friend".??

Many women hesitate to call themselves 'feminist". This seems peculiar - or perhaps just misinformed - to feminists who insist that feminism is just about equality between the sexes.

Of course, the vast majority of women (at least in modern, Western, liberal democracies) whether or not they call themselves "feminist", want:
Equal right to participate in the political process and equal recognition of all civil liberties, such as freedom of speech,
Equal right to control their finances, to own property,
Equal opportunity in education and employment,
Equal access to housing and healthcare,
Equal protection from physical harm,

Basically equality in all the goods of civic life that make it possible to pursue their own idea of the good life in a diverse society.

Is it that so many feminists want their idea of "equality" imposed on every aspect of culture and society?

On language and custom, on religion and tradition, on , courtship, marriage, parenthood, family and relationships, on...

I grew up on a poor farm in the Caribbean, and let me tell you farming in the caribeean is not about machinery like in America, it's hard, back-breaking manual labor in the merciless tropical sun.

I see all these happy white kids who lived their perfect lives in comfortable, white picket fence suburbia, and I can't help being bitter and angry about it.

Can soemone help me?
