It still bothers me that she rejected me all those years ago in high school.

We are both now in our middle 30's, and we haven't even talked since high school. Back then I was kind of a too serious type, and I had growing up issues, and I was just confused about life.

Now I am a completely different person. I'm happy, upbeat, well-adjusted, and issue free. I have a great home, a great job, and a great family.

Why does that even bother me still after all these years?

... that we in fact SHOULD use the "- women" suffixes instead? After all, it apparently doesn't matter and isn't a big deal that we use "- men" or not: "- men" means both "men and women." If this is so, then "- women" must also mean "men and women" - or has the capability to refer to the universal - as well. If we cannot just replace "- man" with "- woman," then there's obviously something strange and not-quite-equal going on with the word "woman," isn't there.

So what do you think? Policewoman, firewoman, chairwoman, laywoman's terms. I like it.

One of my (feminist) co-workers insists that a man who chooses to have children is "more of a man" than one who does not have children.

She can't justify her logic and when asked if a woman who chooses to have children, is more of a woman, he laughs at the idea.

To me, this sounds VERY sexist and I find it offensive that I am 'more' of a person by having a baby.

... while its obvious that she's a bit confused...

What are your thoughts?

Does not having a baby make me more of a man?

I'd love to hear different perspectives.

How does the lottery prevent the breakdown of society in this community? Can someone please further breakdown this question so I can understand it. Because I think that the lottery is breaking down the society, not preventing it. But my teacher said that was wrong.

In all my dreams I have ever had its been impossible for me to commit acts of violence. Even dreams I remember from when I was way younger its the same thing. Anytime I try to punch, kick, stab or any other violent act an outside force stops me. Its like, idk how else to put it but telekinesis. Something pushing me back, as I push forward. Just putting me in limbo. This generally causes me to wake up.

Does this have like a deeper meaning? Or am I just over-analyzing?

I really began hating people and seeing how dark, disgusting, and greedy and inhumane people can get. Even though some may seem nice, I am sure they would be just as bad behind fitting rooms or in the bathroom doing bad things. I've heard the horror stories from cleaning ladies, or other associates.
I truly do hate people.

I used to be a good outgoing person, with a nice personality, now, I think how humanity is like a bunch of animals.
I'd love to be away like a hermit somewhere alone praying and undisturbed. Your thoughts?

shouldn't farmers be monetarily richer than say actors and rock stars or even CEOs of some arbitrary companies that deals with middle management between industries and business sectors.

money is just a paper currency that promises values of future goods. it's a linkage between what you've produced and what products you want to buy/get.

yet, companies that deal with money and related services are richer, get paid alot more than farmers and similar industries that provide needs for life.

if firms and entertainers etc make more money than say farmers etc, then what does that say about our priorities in today's society? if we're truly that far advanced and such primitive survivals are out of the question then why a huge chunk of humans dying everywhere from starvation etc and why are there still battles and wars that cry out primitivism?

that being said, is our value of money justified and correctly allocated by having money management firms and stock firms ranking high up there, along
