In all my dreams I have ever had its been impossible for me to commit acts of violence. Even dreams I remember from when I was way younger its the same thing. Anytime I try to punch, kick, stab or any other violent act an outside force stops me. Its like, idk how else to put it but telekinesis. Something pushing me back, as I push forward. Just putting me in limbo. This generally causes me to wake up.

Does this have like a deeper meaning? Or am I just over-analyzing?

Its not that I don't hurt them. I don't even make contact. I'll be inches from their face and I just can't hit them.

it's because you don't move in your sleep. about half of people do, and half of people don't. do you notice that you can talk in your dreams, but you can't scream? trying to move yourself wakes you up, but your subconcious is so far detached from your concious self while you sleep that it can't control your physical actions.

Dreams arise from the subconscious. Therefore, you really can't control what happens in your dreams. When you do try to do that, you wake up. I don't think there are any deep-seated meanings, except to say that maybe you are a non-violent person by nature. There should be more like you.

Such dreams symbolise helplessness and point towards the present state of your life ! As you grow older , get a job and get a hold on your life , you will have dreams of fighting back ! And eventually with maturity even those will fade away ! You can't control dreams but you can evolve your personality with confidence to change the nature of the dreams you have night after night !

well, you may be trying too hard to commit violence in your sleep,or maybe something deep inside isn't allowing you to do that because it knows it's wrong,so there for,it causes you not to dream like that. Also, whether or not you know it your dreams aren't just controlled by your mind, but also your heart as well.Dreams are pictures that show you your fears, hopes, and fantasies, thats basically what it is.I would stop trying so hard and just let it take it's course.

They are just dreams. They say dreams mean something,I have not figured it out the answer yet.Maybe it's because you are not a violent person by nature.
besides ther is enough violence in the world today without dreaming about it.

Some people can't always control themselves in their dreams. I know I can't. Sometimes, in dreams I'm way more outgoing than in real life and I do things I wouldn't normally do. And other times, things I would usually do, I don't and I chicken out. In dreams, your mind has a mind of its own.

maybe your over analyzing which really ya kinda are because why do you care? lol but yeah its prolly because your just not a viiolent person you really dont want to hurt someone dreams come from your subconscience so therefore you prolly just arent naturally violent. =)

it might be your conscience getting your deep-thought dream confused with real life and trying to hold you back. you must be a really good person to physically be unable to hurt someone. sometimes i have dreams of being kidnapped and someone trying to snatch me up and i scream as loud as i can but i lose my voice and nothing comes out. its weird some dreams make you really think ya'know

yes, do you feel stifled or like someone or something isn't letting you be yourself or do what you want to do? That could be playing into your dreams.
