Get the Ten Days To Self-Esteem by David D. Burns, M.D. and his The Feeling Good Handbook or
Mind Over Mood: Change How You Feel by Changing the Way You Think (Paperback)
by Dennis Greenberger, Christine Padesky
You must do the workbook exercises or it'll be of no benefit to you. They have been the most recommended self-help books by Drs.
Also,
1) Spend more time with friends because being alone seems to make you suicidal. Surround yourself with positive people to keep out the negative thoughts.
2) Exercise releases endorphins and relieve depression so get a bike or go jogging. Take up sports but do something.
3) See a Dr and tell him about your depression so that he can see if you have underlying health problems or something, or he can refer you the Psychiatrist if necessary.
4) Take care of yourself by eating right and drink water every day, maintaining your hygiene, despite how you feel.
5) Join a religion or read up on Bhuddism.
Negative thoughts are bad. You should be working towards getting rid of them.

Depression is very common and it’s a mental illness that can be treated.
It’s hard for people to break the cycle. They just end up vegetating treating every day as normal for themselves.
Many people suffer anxiety attacks, fits of rage, shortness of breathe, various types attention seeking problems, paranoia, obsessions, compulsive behavioral problems and the list can go on because some people have combinations of many and more.
You first have to force yourself to break the cycle.
Join some clubs, do some sports and go and walk say an hour in the morning and the same later in the day. Make sure you’re eating a good balanced diet.
Make sure you wash yourself, clothing and keep your living clean and tidy.
Don’t shut other people and your friends out of your life.
Once depression takes hold many of these problems makes many people neglect themselves.
Go to a local help clinic and get back-up counseling and medication if required.

Talk to them somebody out there loves you and cares about you, how will they feel if your not there anymore. there's a better solution out there than commiting sucide.please take my advice into consideration
