Yes, I'd help a friend cross-dress if he told me and I would let him wear anything in my closet that he wants to wear.

Since I am a crossdresser, the answer for me is - of course, I would help him. Obviously, I don't know the depth of your friendship, but if you're asking for advice on what to do that tells me either you're very close or you aren't totally grossed out about the whole idea of a guy dressed up in traditionally female clothing.
Your friend has put a lot of faith in you by telling you about his desire to crossdress. I know from my experience that it is a very difficult thing to tell someone about. There is a big risk of rejection by the person you are telling as well as the risk of that person taking your desires public. So feel honored that he's told you. But the fact that's he's told you this shouldn't make you feel obligated to help him if it is something that you are uncomfortable with.
If you do decide to help him dress up, please dress him in clothing that you would want to be seen in and that flatters him.
Best wishes.

oooh, this is a good one...the choices are endless. however, i feel that vintage ysl and oldschool gucci are wonderfully beautiful and chic on anybody...also, too, looks from the different eras like a 50's jackie o look, maybe a 70's farrah fawcett or liza minellie or perhaps the 80's with cher by bob mackie! I would definitely hook him up with a fierce makeup artist who could go on location for that sexxxy princess for a day feel. i'd definitely love to see my best friend with a great cut, modern, defined, edgey, yet versatile. i'd love some oldschool versace gowns and chanel suits by karl lagerfeld. ooooh, and some fantastic perfume...viktor and rolf's "flowerbomb"...mmm

Oh yes!!!! I would love to have someone dress me up and do a makeover! Whatta trip!!!!
I think I would like to be dressed to go out to the clubs. Something sexy but not trampy. He seems fairly thin so nice slacks or skirt, heels, and a sexy top would do it for me...
good luck and if I knew you, you could practice on me!

Of course you should. With Halloween coming the possibilities are endless for him to experience being a girl in public without much worry. I suggest the french maid look for him. Good luck and have fun!!!

No, since I don't like to dress up like a girl.
But I'd try to find someone who would help him.

That sounds like fun, something sexy! Does he have a good body? Mini-skirt, heels, lots of make-up...
