why are some people shallow? and not willing to communicate and process through a divorce?

Because they themselves have very low self esteem, they are generally the "glass is half empty" kind of people. It makes them feel better, even superior to be the way they are rather than exposing their emotions and having a real friendship, or relationship. My best advice is to stay away from these people, as being around them is like reading beauty magazines......you will only feel like crap about yourself (as misery loves company) and you won't get any real feedback from them that you can use or count on.

Fear.Because they have some deep fear of knowing who they really are. Shallow people usually seem to think htat everyone else is really shallow and that there is no such thing as real and deep. The most highly defended peopel are the most vulnerable and cant afford to show anyonthing of theseves to themselves or others.

they don't know what to do or feel. my friends friend is now going through an unexpected divorce and she is not willing to co operate at all and is treating her kids badly too. But it's a 30 year marriage and he cheated and is leaving for the younger woman.
