They're insecure-period. Think about all the people who have self-confidence and self esteem-they don't make fun of people. Usually these people "bullies" have been made fun of and do not think very high of themselves-they want people to think they are so it, but they not. Why would any normal want any to feel bad-because they want others to feel as bad as they feel. Logical. Right?

I have never seen any studies that support that theory.

I tend to believe that if a person is going to taunt another, it doesn't really what the issue is.

When i was a child, I was sometime called "apricot man'" by another boy under the claim I smelled of apricots. How an 11 year old boy could smell like apricots, I'll never know.

Understand, I was fat and wore glasses. Two easy targets for a bully. Yet for some reason, it was apricots.

Don't look too deeply into it. A jerk is just a jerk.

Ignore it and it will go away.

hmmm..ya i think that's what happens alot of the times. alot of people don't feel good enough about themselves so then they feel that in order to get attention, they have to put other people down. i hope that doesn't happen to you but if it does, just ignore it and be yourself!

That's exactly it, but please say "you're."
Conjunction of "you are."

My brother is the type who would always put someone down, just to make himself feel higher or better. It has not served him well, trust me.
