Are people in the modern world any happier these days? I feel, a lot of the times. We have a false sense of happiness. We live in such a shallow age. Just count the ways. That instant gratification! We think were "living life to the fullest." Reveling in our "freedoms." But really, at the end of day. Did we, are we? At the core of it all!?

We might have made a lot changes over the past 50 years or so. But I don't think it made us necessarily happier. Just different. . .

Are people any happier in this day age?

I think people are no where near as happy as they were in the past. There don't seem any Ideals to strive toward. Either that of most people just don't want to.

Life has always been a struggle and I believe people were happier with that struggle, than they think they are today.

A lot to changes have been make life easier and to lower morality. I think that people could live better and more happily, if there were ideals and life to struggle for. Believe me, we will pay the price in the end for our decadent behaviour..

no life is still, what a person can make out of it, not always what they will, as sometimes prevailing circumstances interfere or change ones beliefs, therefor their outlook. It is so easy to say this or that at any given time and express your beliefs, but like it or not wisdom does not come easy, sometimes it doesn't come at all. As the years go by we all change in ways not expected and not necessarily for the best. Life has a way of wearing some down, it also tends to knock others off their pedestals, you might say it has a way of coming back on all of us, no matter who we are and believe me we do pay for the choices we've made in the past, towards the end, everything gets tallied and this is what one's left to live with.

This question was asked in the 1700's, 1800's, 1900's and now. Every era wants to revel in the past somewhat and think it was better somehow given the changes they are experiencing in their present. You live in the era you are in and deal with it as it is given to you. Happiness is determined by how you as a person want to experience it. You can either grab what and how you are living by the horns and thrive or you can wish for what you consider a simpler time. Those "simple" times were difficult and people had to struggle to make it. Nothing is different in those terms. People in the past took less in order for us to have more. If you feel you are living shallow, ask what you aren't doing to make it better. The core of it all is always to do as much as you can to make yourself, your life, your world better rather than whining about what isn't. Every day you breathe you have a chance to do happy and be happy. I believe we learn from our past, continue what was great and become even greater. Challenges make us whole as a person, a community, and a country. If you don't like what you see or where you are at, you are living in the greatest country in the world to allow you to change it. God Bless America.

No, news and negativity travels faster today. I think people are generally less satisfied. Happiness comes from within. It is a conscious choice. It cannot be found outside of ourselves.

Take care.

No. i do no longer think of it truly is a criminal offense to be satisfied. in reality, I desire there have been greater satisfied posts in this internet site! while a man or woman asks a intense question, they might desire to get some powerful solutions from different consumers. regrettably, this would not constantly take place & human beings carry their offended luggage from the exterior worldwide on the internet & initiate attacking others by skill of call while they do unlike what they study. it may be superb to hearken to approximately fulfillment memories, yet having to place each and everything in a query style looks to cut back the opportunities of having it in print without violation notices! because of the fact it truly is a Q & a internet site, i assume that many human beings choose satisfied solutions to unhappy situations & that may no longer an easy feat in a public communicate board with consumer policing formats. i attempt to work out the solid in the worst of situations, even though it does appear as if assisting an unhappy man or woman to get satisfied is a superb better crime than only being unhappy! the reality might desire to make human beings satisfied, yet it works in the alternative path with lots of them! bypass parent...who knew? while somebody says "existence is only too short to be moaning & depressing", that many times only skill that they don't have an answer or any genuine existence journey to share with yet another consumer. some human beings only choose the criteria & the "kill" component of passing on an identical dysfunctional teachings that have been heaped onto them while they have been little ones! it relatively is like a can of mixed nuts once you're on the worldwide-extensive-information superhighway. You in no way be attentive to what's going to finally end up on your mouth except you seem at what you have on your hand in the past you throw all of it in! specifically situations, you have of project to spit it out...different situations, you may desire to attend to the heartburn of a poisonous substance on your device! that's what i think of.
