In your opinion, what's the best way to get revenge against someone that doesn't involve ANYTHING illegal or nothing that would cause physical harm? Something psychologically unnerving or annoying.

I was dancing at the clubs last night, and so many people were hostile and angry all night, for no apparent reason. Mix that with a few cocktails, and whoa … I though Armageddon came at closing time. Little itsy-bitsy women were taking down cops; every establishment in town had a cop, ambulance, and fire truck. Men were fighting, and just there was general mayhem EVERYWHERE. I don’t think anyone died … but even after a sports team wins there has been more order.

I guess my only thought is that many people may have been digesting so much negative stuff by watching the VA tragedy, and I was wondering if there is a psychological terminology or study that would show a correlation between violence witness through the media and violence in real life.

OR I'm looking for a social explanation on why ppl were so violent last night (especially the women). Good greif.

I always seem to need to hang out with one friend before the other ones.
it seems that my one friend "recharges my batteries" and after I hanng with her for a good period of time, if i saw her later, it would be too much...like it would be extraneous..too much..like
we both need breaks.
but my other two friends..i could see them the same next day and not be a problem.

There is a certain feminist on this board who loves to speak of "substantive equality." She seems to use it to refer to "standards." Her argument tends to hold that because women and minorities have been excluded from upper strata of society (particularly decision making), they should be allowed to make their own rules and regulations that are SEPARATE from the current standards and regulations.

She gives a certain example in which cultural questions on a test which had nothing to do with the material were removed because minorities were not familiar with the culture. This is obviously fair, as the test is an aptitude test, but this feminist also advocates different military standards for different groups. (I am not truly certain of the extent of this inane system, however- you will have to ask her yourself if when she replies if you want more information.)

My question: Is this not a completely ludicrous concept? Standards ensure quality and competence.

I asked 2 questions regarding reproductive choice and the overwhelming majority of responses were it is a personal choice *until one needs public money to feed/raise the child.*

If people feel that reproductive choices are so personal, then why do they get in an uproar about abortion? Isn’t abortion simply one more reproductive choice? For all you logicians out there:
Reproductive choice = Personal decision
Abortion = Reproductive choice
THERFORE:
Abortion = Personal choice

Before you answer, think about how many abortions are done to prevent a child from being born to a woman who does not have the financial resources to support it.
If it is a personal choice only until the need for government assistance, then are you saying a pregnant woman in poverty should be *required* to have an abortion to avoid having yet another person grow up on the welfare system? Please explain.

If you commented on childbearing in relation to the need for public assistance in my previous question, I want to hear from you on this.

A couple of facts to help you with your answer:
89% of abortions are done prior to the 12th week of gestation, when the pregnancy is in the EMBRYO stage, and clearly would not survive outside the womb.

48% of all abortions in America are given to women with incomes less than $30,000.
