I feel like I was a wild child because I came of age in the 60s and early 70s as a hippie. There were wild rock festivals and all kinds of fun including some drugs.
The wild is not so manifest any more. I feel it gave me sense of compassion for some rebelliousness that I see in today's youth. I am thankful that I lived at a time when being wild did not have the permanent repercussions that people face nowadays. We did not have the threat of AIDS.
I am also thankful that I did not fall prey to any drug addictions like some friends of who are dead and others who lived their lives in la la land.
So... I suppose you might say that the wild child is still in evidence in the thankfulness that I made it through that period with no serious outcomes.

I was a lovely kid from a really loving stable home.....then it was like someone flicked a switch when I was 16 and I turned into a nightmare teen....definitely a wild child, lived in a homeless hostel, smoked, drank, shop lifted, somehow ended up living with a guy I didn't know in a very dodgy area who I realised wanted me to be a prostitute! (I got out of that one!!), lived with a friend who had a baby and lived in a house with no furniture other than a bed a cot and a cooker (no fridge!!!), jumped taxi's., had tattoo's, piercings.....I was just walking trouble!!! I'm embarrassed about it all now and what I put my poor parents through :( It was wierd tho cos when I was 18 it just all stopped and I just became normal again...perhaps I had some hormonal problems?! Anyway, I'm lovely now...a well rounded 31 year old. I'm dreading having kids though and them hitting 16!!!!!! ;)
The evidence that is left I suppose is that I can get a bit wild when I'm drunk ;D I never want the night to end!!!

No. In fact I was a "little adult". Now I am trying to make up for some of what I missed not being a wild child.

I was wild !! I've no real regrets, one or two maybe, but none too terrible. I now work with children with behavioural problems ( and believe me, I have plenty of empathy!) I love my job because I recognise the good in the kids, and build up a great raport with them over time. I don't want to change them- I want them to find their own self worth and to be able to face adult life knowing that there is hope for them.

Yeah I was sort of a wild child....now, I am 30 years old, mom of three and a care giver to the elderly....people would never see me as the two fisted fighter and partyer I was as a teen.

Hee hee hee, I was arrested twice before I was 16 and I left school with no qualifications. Now I am a graduate (2:1) and I sound like I am the embodiment of maturity...but...once upon a time...dear, oh, dear.
The child is still there...especially when drunk.
Apologies.

I was and I still can be although age has smoothed some rough edges. I'm a physiotherapist, so I need to keep my wildness in check when I'm working.

I actually have a wild baby for a fiancee. He began youthful (sneaking out the residing house to thieve at 10) and progressed from there into his offender existence and is now calmer. nonetheless we do have our moments (those days arrested for DUI)

I'd like to think so. Part of it was refusing to grow up, so I still am.
Unfortunately, despite not becoming very mature, one still learns things over time. One of them is that such behaviour is largely a defect, not some virtuous uniqueness.
