It depends. A mature guy would definitely pick woman [b], since he would want someone to talk to and share his ideas with. Let's face it, no one wants to talk to a tape recorder!

On the other hand, there numerous men out there who would prefer woman [a] since they would want someone to manipulate. Often, guys who want submissive women are the ones who just want to have 'sex', or perhaps just want to use women for other things.

Human nature would tell us that women are equal to men, and that includes equality in intellectual capacity. Thus, women have to think for their own, women have to voice out for their own, and mind you, guys men who want women [b] are the ones who are serious in commiting themselves to a relationship and in making things work out.

You question seems to imply that the two are mutually exclusive, which shows your ignorance of the subject. A submissive woman can be far from boring, and she can certainly be strong, sexy, and independent. She has just made the choice to submit to her husband in the marriage, which many men find very sexy in itself. Most submissive wives go out of their way to find out what their husbands like and try to implement it into their marriage beds to make him happy. Most everybody here already knows about my crotchless pantaloons. That's just one way I'm both submissive and sexy to my husband.

Even though I am submissive to my husband, I am still strong and independent, sometimes to a fault. For better or for worse, I am generally one of the first to step out and lead in whatever situation I find myself. I am creative and opinionated and most of the time I don't hesitate to voice my thoughts in our marriage. My husband has the authority to override me if he feels it is best, but it is rare that he does this. I think people have the wrong idea of what a submissive woman is. They see her as some kind of timid mouse that doesn't dare to open her mouth. Nothing could be farther from the truth. If you could meet me (or rather, my inner redneck that is always straining to get out), I would disavow you of that notion right away. In many S American cultures the will still pick A, although men admire B women (like their moms) who take control, they THINK they want to be in charge.

I'm turned on when my wife lets me be a man and decide what's best for our family. It's nice when your woman respects you as a man and loves you enough to put her life into your hands.
