I'm not putting the downer on them; I have met both good and bad social workers. The problem is that they tend to play an adversarial role against parents at the same time they do something to be helpful. It's very confusing.

I'm not sure how valid this methodolgy is at measure intelligence it is 100% speed dependent. I'm not convinced that's totally valid.

In any case, try this test that the Canadian Television Corporation is administering. It's pretty hard but only one question is specific to Canada. (Something about AVril, ...)

I've always wondered why the human response to something so sad or so happy is to cry. Why do our bodies secrete something that is pretty much the same thing as salty water? Please be serious!

It's one thing when it's words or something you read but it's an entirely different story when you can actually put a face on it. Recently, I just watched a documentary where they were interviewing random ordinary people from all different backgrounds on the streets of SF. It wasn't just the things they were saying directly into the camera - but their tone of voice and seeing their facial expressions filled with so much hate, anger, and resentment really upset me because some of us are so used to people acting polite to your face and not realizing how much hatred they might be harboring underneath. And right now, I can't seem to get the images out of my head. What do you do to block out these images?

They want to have sex like men, work hard just like men, have power just like men, be 'strong' just like men....shouldn't REAL feminism be celebrating the female, rather than emulating the male?

I joined a therapy group in my local area, it had no theme but is led by a therapist into interactionism and gestalt. We are about 5 weeks in and everyone seems to have become hypersensitive about temperature of the room, manners, atmospheres etc. Is this normal?

My friend and I tell each other everything. I know she is a little different, but that's what makes her special.
I still have to say, I was somewhat suprised when she told me she played with dolls till she was about 14.
What shocked me was that she told me she would pretend to breastfeed them like a real baby.
I love her to death and would do anything for her.
So I just want to know, has anyone else ever heard of girls doing this as kids?
I didn't really play with dolls, I was more of a "tomboy", myself.

I feel like my life is toxic. I'm overweight, I'm always depressed,( I take anyi-depressants-tried a million different ones...) tired, overwhelmed and in a rut. I used to be creative. I used to brim over with ideas and excitement about new possibilities. Two of my three kids are college aged-one left is a teenager. They all still live at home. My house is a mess and full of stuff I don't know what to do with. My hub is always tired because he has RA and after a days work he's knackered. I'm in so deep and I'm losing sight of the sky.

why when women fought so hard in the past for equality have todays women thrown it all away. can women not see that sexualising themselves and allowing magazines like nuts and zoo to be freely avaliable they have lost the respect of men.
is it because the media is owned by men and its a marketing ploy to wrest the power back?
