I have an aunt that formaly worked at the Pentagone. As for what she did to serve our government I am not entirely sure, but i doubt she was some kind of a spy or something. she is about 70 years old now. ever since I was young she would go on ranting that there is so much we don't know about our government and what they do to keep the amercan society in check.
on e thing she'd always protest is that the government made the idea of televised news to make us all WORRIED and STRESSED OUT (which at times it does exactly that) -made to keep us in check and to keep watching. BUT IS THERE ANY THRUTH TO THIS or is my aunt just as little to old???

Was it long before the advent of writing? And was that "rising sun" really Helios (i.e. today's Sun) or Uranus (for Uranus could have been the first Sun, prior to Saturn and Jupiter, according to its chemical constitution similar to that of our present sun)?

Any country would be so much better then, after all don't we want a leader to improve our economy and not be a politician who lies for their personal gain?

When posting a job vacancy, we use gender neutral term - "chairperson" not chairman, "their duties" not his/her. This is b/c we believe that both genders equally able to do the job.

Now imagine 5 people have been shot to death in their appartment, and there are no witnesses or other info on suspect. Should newspapers use words like "gunman" and "determine his identity", "catch him" or opt for gender-neutral terms?

Presuming that a female could've done that seems offensive to women. Suggesting that criminal is a man reeks of inequality and stereotypes.

What's your choice?

i know about the The Violence Against WOMEN Act (VAWA) that was lobbied hard for by feminist organizations (e.g. NOW).

but what about other acts ot laws that benefits specificaly women that men would be looked down upon for having?

If feminists were truly for equal treatment, they would not propose and fight for such gender-specific legislation.
