My reasons for asking is that I had a life changing experience today. I sat before a judge, but not in front of. The decision (of the jury and the judge)I did not agree with however I cannot change the outcome. What can I do but ask someone the question Why? It appeals to both sides of the case but nobody has the answer. If only someone knew then life would be so simple. I am not a student looking for a study case. With all due respect - I am just looking for the answer....thanks PAL

You know, at times when I get this question appearing in my mind, I get the strange feeling of lying to myself. I feel (or know) that I already know the answer and just have to remember it. We all know WHY! And that is the scary part. We all know that things the way they are because of us, because once we've chosen them to be that way. The answer of your "WHY" is in yourself. If you really want to know it - take a deeper look. You know the answer.

Because not everyone can interpret the question in the manner in which you yourself are thinking about it.
The question means one thing to you but, the person reading the questions is seeing something totally different.
It is like asking for a recipe for a simple butter pound cake. You will get complicated recipes that take hours to complete, you get recipes that were G'ma's secret recipe, recipes that have all kinds of extras like chocolate chips, nuts, etc, and you will get recipes for cakes that do not even fit in the category of pound cakes. It is how people see the question that determines how they answer it.
Take for instance your question. You were expecting short simple uncomplicated answers, I am sure, that agree with your point of view that the simplest questions are the hardest to answer. And I agree with you.
But, I saw your question as a challenge as to why the simplest questions are the hardest to answer.
