I would suggest that reincarnation is the only logical idea- Would God create an evil soul? Would God want to waste a good soul? If the soul just disappears into some sort of void, that doesn't sound like much of a plan on God's part. On the other hand, I know no perfect people. I, for one, have a lot of rough edges. I figure God's plan is for me to reincarnate- to keep coming back until I finally figure it out and get it right. That is not to say there is no Hell. For some, our physical life may be Hell. For others, (mass murderers, terrorists, fascist dictators, for example), their souls may be beyond help, and they may go to Hell. But for most of us average Joes, reincarnation seems to be the answer.

In Hinduism, it is believed that the soul is indestructible. On death of a physical body, the sole leaves the body and goes for reincarnation. The soul continues its journey with heavy load of karmas from one life to another life. Reincarnation need not necessarily be into human form. It can take any species of life depending on the actions (karmas) in the previous birth. Rarely a soul may remain in a state of standstill. But to get rid of karmas soul has to enter a body and do good deeds. On exhausting of all its karmas it merges with god called Infinite soul. This is called Jeevathma joining Paramathma in Hindu scriptures. Believe it or not! It is your choice.

In my personal opinion, I believe that their is a heaven and hell. I pray that when I die, my soul will go up instead of down.

Well from a religious aspect...your soul goes to heaven. From a medical aspect...you have no soul.

It goes to the devil geez! No I think it stays with you and goes to the otherside. In less you are a buddhist then they believe that it comes back as another person.
