It is GOOD that you recognize that you have this problem and the first step in modifying your bad behavior.
Your anger stems from the fact that you are unable to deal with the compounding problems that have beset your life at this time. Your resent the fact that your mother does not have the answers that you are seeking. Because you know that she loves you very much and will forgive your immature behavior, your VENT your frustrations at her. Now, because you are intelligent, you are feeling guilty for being mean spirited.
You need to talk out your frustrations with a trusted friend or counselor, and get to the bottom of what is bothering you.
Because you asked this question, I feel confident that you will solve your problems and be able to apologize to your Mom with the deepest sincerity that in the future, your will NOT treat her love for you so lightly,

Can I suggest the direct approach? Go to your coat closet and muffle ALL sound with the heaviest coat. Scream until you are tired and worn out. Scream as loud as you possibly can for as long as you can. Remember what situation or person came to mind as you were screaming, if you remember.

Now, rest and go fix the problem with the person you are angry at and stand your ground because you are a formidable force and one that must be reckoned with. Your anger has been abated. Fix the problem or give it a voice.

It could just be your age, and you'll out grow it. Or it could be something much deeper. ask yourself ...who hurt you as a child ( rape , or .... abuse of some kind) because usually anger is... old hurt.. If you decide it is old hurt ( anger) then some counseling would help you.. hang in there it will get better, you have already taken the first step just by knowing you are angry and telling some one US .... SMILE... i"LL PRAY FOR YOU .

Sounds like you have many unresolved issues which you have not dealt with. When we suppress our feeling and thoughts, it is bound to come out somewhere. You may want to seek some help for that otherwise it can escalate to a degree you won't want to deal with nor will your family. Good luck.

IED (Intermittent Explosive Disorder). This could be where you are heading. Better to address it now (a stitch in time saves nine) to avoid more trouble later.
