You have asked a thought-provoking question! I must concede that the design of the human brain biologically is quite astonishing if you contemplate its complexity and capabilities -- if I were religious, I might even regard the brain as a miracle of design! I have been quite happy, too, with my own version which has enabled me to live a fulfilling life; thus, if I were to make changes, they would necessarily be minor: a few more I.Q. points might be helpful and perhaps just a bit more motivation -- wherever in the brain are located the sites for such adjustments -- my point being to enhance my creativity and to become more successful through my creations/writings. Otherwise, I would not care to tamper excessively as I feel that I inherited quite an adequate and well-functioning brain; please do not consider my satisfaction as conceit since I did not produce my own brain and am simply grateful for one which was provided me!!

I would reduce the need of my brain for sleep so all I needed was about six hours of rest and be alert the rest of the time without caffeine.

And while I'm at it, probably improve my memory because it has never been that good and I hate forgetting where my keys are and loosing sunglasses.

I would increase my ability to use my imagination. I am a very logical-minded person and think "inside the box" too much. As you can see from my avatar, I like to cook, but my primary focus is baking bread. Unlike other areas of cooking, bread baking is more of a science than an art. Baking bread, as "uncreative" as it is is one of the few outlets I have for my imagination (that is, trying new recipes and making changes to try to improve them).

I created a recipe for white bread about 15 years ago. I baked and sold the bread to several restaurants and gourmet shops.
