No I would not think that person is a snob. I would just think they are kind and gentle. In some cases, they might just not feel comfortable under some situations, but they aren't believing that they are better than other people. As far as them being intelligent, that just means that they are smart, but that has nothing to do with what they think of other people.

That sounds just like me :D

No, I wouldn't think the person is a snob. But probably some other people do.

I totally agree with trin. People get the same impression of me.

I might, upon first meeting him/her. With time and more familiarity, I believe I would be able to more accurately characterize him/her as soft-spoken, quiet, shy and intelligent. I'm usually *pretty* good, however, at getting to the "real" person pretty quickly.

No not necessarily. It depends. If I try to talk to someone and they are just quiet, I can tell. If they are a snob, it shows.

Absolutely not. I would think this person knows how to be respectful in society and they would know how to act human. But I can see why some people can think they are snobbish; they might think they are too good for other people so they seem shy. But I never judge until I talk to them for some time.

I wouldn't, but a lot of losers react that way to people like you describe.

I'm like that, I think people sometimes get the impression I think I'm better than them/anti-social, until they get to know me.
