The word limitations should not exist in one's dictionary when considering about a person's ability, including the sky as your limit. This is because you would always live down to such a limit.

a fascinating question! you must mean BY your own limitations. This is a complicated psychological and philosophical thing and depends on your mindset. What if you dont know you have limitations, lets say you have a mild developmental disability but your parents never explained it to you. You grow up, go to college, become whatever. If you found out at age 50 that you always had that disability, it might explain in retrospect some of your life struggles and life choices. If you knew all along, it might also affect your awaremess of certain struggles and choices. Since no one can do experiments with the same person in both these situations, we may never know.

so there are times when we know we're introverts and dont expect to be the life of the party. or times when we get depressed and go on medication, which can limit our alertness and make us more tired. this would be a case where you are indeed limited by the medications.

basicly we know we cant fly except in planes, and se know our limits when it comes to food intake, and we know when we've climbed high enough if we're afraid of heights. Then there are people with all sorts of phobias, like fear of going out in crowds, that certainly restrict, but help is available.
i could go on, but instead will continue to ponder the questions.
