All the guys that I like who show an interest in me I'm really awful to - ignoring them or calling them "stupid" "juvenile" "dull" "boring" "hate that shirt" "hate your haircut" just very immature behaviour.

I have done this with every single one,It's really irritating because eventually they give up and im sad.

is it a self defence mechanism??

To guys i'm not interested in i'm friendly/kind,it's the ones I feel a strong emotion for that get that strong reaction out of me.

HOW TO STOP??

I fear if i'm nice to the guy he'll hurt me or won't like me.

Like do you stare at the person's right eye when you talk to them, or to their left eye? (Line up right eye to right eye or the other).

Does any of you alternate continuously at the right then left then right and so forth very fast? I've noticed in movies when the girl is in love her pupils dart quickly to the right and left. (For example in Spiderman 2, MJ's eyes do that).

Or does anyone just avoid eye contact? Thats what I do and I want to stop this habit. But eye contact makes me very uncomfortable.

I know for a fact that it can be true on a subconscious level some people fear "losing" weight or "loss" of weight. But my question is how do you get past this? Where can you go to get help/support?

I used to be diagnosed with social anxiety , I didnt like being around people. I basically didnt like people period. Then I moved off the bus route in my city and have been really secluded for the last 10 months , only seeing my OB (i was preg) My SO when he was home (1 week a month, he has an offshore job). Suddenly I desire to be around people , I go to walmart just to be near people to be surrounded by them. I try to start idle conversation , bt something is wrong , my words come out all messed up , i seem to have lost my ability to socialize verbally. I am homebound , the net and the telephone bring me no comfort , I am starting to be concerned about my loss of ability to verbally communicate with people. When I talk to people i mess p what i am saying so bad that I even avoid calling my family on the phone ... Is this still social anxiety or something else ? I don't know what to do , i also worry that it could somehow affect my newborns development somehow. all sugs welcome

Joe’s worried about his health and he’s after a woman he met overseas--his sister-in-law’s cousin who is excited about a better life in the US. His words to her: “Yes, I do a lot of brain work at school. And I know that you do not do much brain work. But I don’t look for a woman who is like me-she I could find in America. I look for a different type of woman, one with a warm and loving heart, who wants to make a happy, restful home for me. I want a woman who is kind, who doesn’t like to argue or fight, but who will always take care of her man-if I am healthy or sick. And I will promise to take care of my woman with money and protect her and help her mother. I want a woman with a big heart, not a big brain. I want a woman who can help me relax and smile and laugh, and always be helpful and true to me. And I will promise to be true and faithful to her, and care for her so she does not need to work hard or worry about money. That is what I’m looking for, and what I promise.”

No matter where one lives, every intelligent person can see what goes on in the area or town, city where one lives, or do they choose not to see it, and let someone else do all the work?

How do you think about this?

Someone explain this man's behavior?
I had a guy...well as I was talking to him..for one he didn't give any eye contact, the entire time we talked , then he had his hands in his hoodie pocket, he just acted nervous the entire time, then at the end of the conversation , he asked me how my christmas was...I I told him it was okay..then he asked so who did you spend it with.....then later on, he comes up to me and he's like oh..your face..and I asked what about it, tehn he says..you look so sad...and I really don't want to see you like that...then he asked me what I was listening to on my ipod...and he started cracking some jokes...and then he asked me so when will you be back here at the gym again..I told him probably tommorrow..and he was like well I'll be messing with you tommorrow then..so what do you think? Do you think he's flirting or just being cordial?

I'm sorry if this question offends anyone because that's not what I am trying to do.
Anyway everyone is always saying that people who are good-looking are jerks, b*tches, ******* etc. But I don't think that's true. I've noticed that good-looking people are happier and more likely to talk to you then a less attractive person. I've noticed they don't seem happy at all and it's hard to get a conversation out of them.

Again this question isn't meant to offend anyone and if it did I am sorry. It's something I have noticed a lot lately and have been curious about. I asked my friends and most of them say "I don't know" or one of them said "ugly people are jealous of good-looking people" even though the last comment really doesn't have anything to do with the question.

A few months back I had these terrible feeling of dread that something bad was going to happen to my younger sister. I could not shake it, it was so bad, I couldn't do anything. The feeling came and went for about 2 months. I went on antidepressents and I have been feeling good until two days ago, I started having that bad feeling of dread again. I've had feelings like this before, a few years ago I had a bad case of it but it was a bad feeling that something was going to happen to me. My brother died and I almost died at the same time. I am really scared that something is going to happen to my sister, I love her so much. She is the most important person to me in the world.

I'm afraid that these aren't just weird feelings, I'm afraid that they are premonitions and I am really scared. Did anyone ever have these feelings before? I hope that it is some kind of anxiety and not a premonition.

I'm 23 years old and have always lived with my parents, as I've been finishing up my B.A. I've never had a job because I'm a full time student. I look around me and see people getting married and having kids and I'm like wow im not even close to feeling responsible for such things, or I'll read a book and a enjoy a story with characters in their twenties doing things - normal things like careers and stuff. And it will hit me this is what people my age do but im still shocked that im actually at such an age and not a kid anymore (technically). I hope I explained it enough.
