I agree that some of the subject content is useful and can teach about our society and human behvior, but why is it taught from a socialist perspective? Are all sociologists’ socialists? And if it is meant to teach socialism then why are we required to take it and why don't they have classes taught from a different perspective?

I mean sure I lied a few times but I hate it! Whenever I lie I feel like I died inside and I'm going to hell. So I tell the truth no matter what.

So why doesn't it bother others when they lie?

I went to a clothing optional beach with three friends. All whom I am wondering are my ex friends now. The three friends were white and I am Black. I am not shy by nature so when we got to the beach (Haulover Beach, Miami, FL) I stripped naked. The three girls (we are all 18 and freshman in college) decided to keep their bikinis on. I mean the first few minutes were akward being nude in front of them but then it seemed ok and then started talking and we eventually walked the shore, I was still nude and these three ex friends in their bikinis. One of the girls Kristin said " I look like a little monkey ape walking around naked " and later in the day my friend Courtney said " Your a dirty BOY going nude today ".

These girls havent ever ever remotely said anything racial to me EVER. Was this just me being made fun of cause I was totally nude and they were not? Or was there more to it? Am I over thinking this?

My son's teacher gave me a pamplet about Asperger's syndrome. I have not taken him for a diagnosis yet, and frankly, I am a bit scared of doing it.

Brantley is extremely intellegent. He is 9 years old with a big heart and terrible social skills. He has already been labeled as ADHD although I have not medicated him.

He speaks with an astonishingly good vocabulary, and he reads on a high school level.

When he gets frustrated (really frustrated), he has emotional outbursts. He cries easily, and he gets bullied a lot, although sometimes, he almost brings it on himself.

His motor skills are terrible. He is very uncoordinated with sports, running, and physical activities. He has trouble interacting with peers and would rather be reading, playing video games, etc.

It is strange that Brantley often doesn't do his work at school and is instead reading a book of his choice.
Am I an awful mom for not wanting to get him diagnosed? I want to believe Brantley is normal.

Read a book that just captures your whole imagination, and is so intriguing, especially when you start to create that mental imaginary picture of the characters in your head, by the way they are decribed in the book...only to be disapointed if a film is made out of the book and the characters just dont match up to what you had thought they should be? sometimes to read the book is much better than watching the film.......has this ever happened to you, and what was the book you read?
