If women are equal to men, why do they need:
alimony,
preferential/quota hiring
women's sports (title IX - if they're "equal" can't they compete with the guys?)
Why aren't they required to sign up for the draft?

Seems to me that divorce should result in property being split in proportion to who earned what (not 50-50), there should be NO alimony, and no preferential hiring.

Also, why the big deal over breast cancer - when prostate cancer kills 3x as many people?

Shouldn't courts award custody to men ~50% of the time (instead of giving it to women 90% of the time?)

Why do we hear about "dead beat dads" when women who don't get custody have a higher rate of non-payment?

If a woman slaps a man, should he slap her back?

And for all you folks who think men start domestic abuse, the REAL stats are that almost exactly 50% of the time, the woman hits first. So where are the battered shelters for men?

When will women give up their "protection" and truly be "equal"?

I have been like this since chilhood. At times I tend to get very obsessed with an idea or some speculative thought. I tend to schedule my future a lot dreaming about that everything is going to fall in place. I often invent an idea and cling on to it. I am not under delusion coz I understand that the idea I am clinging on to is not true or has very little chance to come true. Most of it is related to a girl whom I have loved since my teens and who happens to be my best companion, but she has never accepted me. Other than that I keep thinking of something great I might be able to accomplish some day for my myself and for my family. I am generally considered intelligent by my teachers and friends but have failed to deliever when it is required the most. As a result I have become very prone to negative and defeatist thoughts.

How do I get TRUTH out of a man, w/o doing anything illegal???
I've totally busted my boyfriend (of 8 years) in some BIG FAT lies. Amazingly, he is able to get out of it because he always has some sort of twisted story. Here is an example: I call him; his phone says that he is "ON THE PHONE"..... and he tells me that I'm either lying or the phone is messed up, because he was nowhere near it. Now, the phones (cellphones) DO mess up sometimes, but this is something that HAS NEVER happened, until the past month (when he accidentally changed some phone settings)... and it has happened 5 times in a month!!! How can you PROVE someone's lying, when they REFUSE to admit it, and twist it all up and try to make you look paranoid/ delusional?? WHAT THE HELL?

Additional Details

The reason I'm asking about how to bust him, is because I want to be able to say "I'm breaking up with you for this ____ reason." Not: I'm breaking up with you because your story doesn't sound right." It has nothing to do with self esteem. I tried (very calmly) to get a confession out of him, but he played totally dumb and had "no memories" of any of the things I brought up. He was a closed vault. He has NO REASON to fear an aggressive or overreactive response from me. I am very calm. His fear is that he KNOWS I WILL leave him if I discover anything. I just need to figure out a way to "discover"/ have proof.

I am a 23 year-old female (although I am told I look about 18 or 19) and I am 5'2" and I weigh 95 lbs. I have weighed that for about 2 yrs. now. I eat like any other person does who is of average weight, but I know I am supposed to be at least 110 lbs. Before I asked on here how to gain weight, since that has not worked, now my question is: is this normal? I have gotten tested for hyperthyroidism and I don't have it. I menstruate regularly so I know I can't be that unhealthy. I really don't understand why for a 23 year-old I weigh just 95 lbs., it really does not make sense b/c in highschool at age 16 I weighed 106! I am back to the same weight that I was at age 14! Does any1 else have this problem? When I go the doctor they don't even mention my weight. Is this normal in anyone else's opinion? Is this just the way I'm "meant to be"? The media bashes Nicole Richie and say she is the same height/weight as me (maybe a couple pounds less) and I don't look THAT thin!

In a hypothetical world:

Women: you're brutally raped and find out when you miss your next period that you're pregnant. You are deeply commited to your current partner, and s/he does not want to keep the baby. What do you do? Do you abort? Adopt? Keep the child?

Men: Your partner has been brutally raped. She comes to you after about a month to tell you that she's pregnant, and there is a strong chance it's the baby of her rapist. How do you support her? What would you do if she carried the child to term? How would you love a child if you knew the father could be a rapist? Would you demand abortion?

The key to this question: Only women can make the call to abort as men do not have to go through the trauma of rape and the birthing process. You MUST answer as your gender and your gender only.

Assume that the Day After pill was not used in this case, due to reasons not to be mentioned here.

I had a dream in which I was in a really old, rundown house, that is full of clutter and mess. In this house there is this man who is always working (as in working from home). And I know he's a ghost, and he know's he's a ghost.
In the beginning of the dream I'm angry with him, and he seems mildly annoyed by me. I went on a walk outside the house and was shooting the house with a crossbow, and then saw him sitting at a desk through the window, and shot him in the arm. He then pulled the arrow out of his arm and gave me a look like "what was that for? You knew it wouldn't hurt me" and I went back inside.
To make a long story short, we fell in love, and I began cleaning the old house while he worked (I should mention that I'm homopsexual, so it's not odd for me to fall in love with a man in my dreams).
Anyway, throughout the whole dream, though it spanned several days, it was constantly nighttime. At the end of the dream, just as I was waking up the sun started to rise.
What's it mean?
