Quiet people think alot. I am one of them. I also daydream. People take me lightly because i am silent but I am very observant, I can understand someone through silence and only actions. They soon realize that I should not be taken lightly. I have alot of creative ideas. Sometimes quiet people feel that they can't fit that's why they keep quiet.
Quiet people sometimes also think that they might say the wrong thing and so, tend to keep quiet.
Ussualy quiet people are calm and collected thats why they can handle harder situations that most people who panic can't.

I think we do tend to be more cautious Cu's you don't know what they are thinking or what's going on in there head, therefore sometimes you can get a little uncomfortable around people that don't show what they are feeling.
It's like are you enjoying my company or not?
And I don't necessarily think they have the most brilliant ideas that's not the case all the time.

I definately talk more to people who say little; I guess that means I'm not classified as people. Silence is my best friend and I tend to seek people who don't talk much. The interesting thing is that although silence is my best friend, I never shut up. I know, it doesn't really make much sense, but I feel much more comfortable around people like that. I suppose its because I used to be one myself. I didn't start opening up until I was 15, when someone swooped in and changed my entire way of living. I guess I'm just trying to do the same for them.
So far as avoiding silent people....I can't recall ever seeing anyone do that.

I find quiet and reserved people just vibrate a calmness, and because of this, I in turn find myself behaving in a more serene way. I don't think they have an especially more brilliant way of thinking. Because they are quietly spoken, and take their time in speaking, taking consideration in what they are saying, they appear to us scatter-brained folk, to be more intelligent.

If you stop talking too often, you get more time to think through your answers to people.
There is no reason for caution though. If all I know is crap, I'll talk crap even if I shut up for a whole year. ;)
It's a case of irrational fear if people fear quiet people.

It probably depends on the topic of conversation.
Great people talk about ideas.
Ordinary people talk about things.
Small people talk about other people.
