So my question is do you get someone to talk about the actual rape or just leave it alone. I am not a counselor but I am trying to help as much as possible. If anyone counsels could you please send me a message.

You are a good friend. Tell your friend who was raped, that you are there for them for when they want to talk or if they just need someone to sit with. Your friend is dealing with the worse kind of violation. It may take them time to open up. I suggest you find the local numbers for women's crisis in your town. Give the number to your friend and let them know that there is a place for them to go. If this hasn't been reported to the police you need to let her know that she should. Most of all make sure she feels safe. You can do that by locking the windows and doors and letting her know that you are a phone call away. Women's crisis is in each town, it is free, and they can even give her a safe place to go if she wants. Good luck.

Rape victims will be able to open theirselves to talk about what they had gone thru in the process as they are in trauma and too scared to even face the truth. Even time will not heal their wounds as there is no longer any points of what so ever, therefore they could only have neglection towards life and life alone had serve the purpose for their living purpose with no direction. As for them everything is meaningless. Only a big portion of those who is strong enough to face their fears and go on with life.

I think you should leave the victim alone, and give her some time, only time can heal her shock..........if she does not want to speak........don't force her. But try to behave normal with her as if nothing real big happened..........the more normal people will behave with her, the sooner she will forget it.........make her realize that she is not the one who should feel guilty or sad. It is the one who raped her who will be punished , if not in this world, in the court of God.Best is not to speak about the incident again and again.
