You need to relax as much as you can and listen to what the hypnotist tells you.

Some words of advice though...
If you have suffered from Post Traumatic Stress or any other Mental Illness, don't do it. Your mind could end up giving you visions and thoughts that you would never forget. You would come out feeling like you actually lived what had been suggested. The hypnotist has no idea where your mind is taking you.

I've also heard that it leaves you open for the devil. Either way, BAD NEWS!

A friend of mine went to one of those hypnotic seminars so she could stop smoking. While she was there, she felt as though she wouldn't be able to be hypnotized because her mind wasnt paying attention, and she kept thinking about other things. Next thing she knew, she couldn't stand the thought of smoking. She hasn't had a cigarette in years. I would say it is because she just relaxed and was herself.

You're really either susceptible or you aren't. If it hasn't worked already, your mind just isn't suggestible enough.
