At first I just felt really smart, but as I went on I realized that people could answer their own questions if they just used common sense. As I read over the questions, I am convinced more and more that society is dumbing down. I understand that some of the questions are meant to be jokes (you can always spot those), but some of the users here ask really moranic questions. Like, "Am I pregnant if I had anal sex on the day I was supposed to start my period?" This was a serious question!!!!! I just wonder if anyone else noticed the amount of idiots (or crazy people) who use this site and if you think this indicates a trend in our society intelligence.

It was Monday morning so i got up and did my usual routine before i left for school, but today i decided to put on lot of make up, so that my crush could notice me. All when well untill i got into to my class and sat down, still hoping that my crush would notice me, untill this boy in my class says to me'' do you know that you are wearing you school jumper the wrong way around ''. i realised that i had completely forgotten about my jumper and just put it the wrong way around with the school badge on the back insead of the front. i got what i wanted, for my crush to notice me, but unfortunatly it was for the wrong reasons.

Tell us your belief, your opinion, your thoughts when you hear this statement or read this statement. IMO, you must first love someone in order to hate someone. And that it is also possible to love and hate someone (the same someone) at the same time.

Hate is such a strong word. However, so is Love. Can you really Hate .... I mean really hate someone?

I had a dream that I fell in love with the cloaked figure in my dreams. SO I know its a male...he told me in my dream. We were walking under cherry trees and he admitted he loved me too. The sky was blue. The sky being blue is rare in my dreams. The clouds were pink and the sun was showing. The cloakedfigure put a cherry flower in my hair as we walked. Then we sat infront of the lake in the "garden" A weeping willow was over the lake. There was an apple tree and we got up and he picked us some apples. We ate infront of the lake. Then just as he was about to take off his hood I woke up. What does it mean?

People say don't judge a book by its cover or they say stuff like don't judge people before you know them etc.

But isn't this all just a bunch of BS?

Don't we all make judgements every day in life and it's normal. Isn't that just politically correct ********??

I mean, when you go to a job interview, don't you dress nice to make a good impression?

Why do companies like to hire pretty girls to sit at the front desks? Why do they want their employees to look clean and neat?

Doesn't that all have to do with people being judges in every day life?

So why is it that people still go around and kid themselves by saying "don't judge" etc??

Nearly a year ago, I was doing everything I could to stop thinking about a guy who was just no good for me. Finally thought I could trust myself and another man so I let one in. Just when I thought I had found someone really special and that we might start getting "closer"... he ends it. I've been dumped. Who hasn't right? The problem now is that I just keep thinking that I want to f*** every guy I see or every guy I ever turned down. Of course, I won't do it. I know sex alone will never fulfill me. Has anyone else felt this way before? Honestly, I have a very strong relationship with God and myself so I don't understand this. Have I just found my inner slut or am I so starved for affection that I have become desperate. Any psychologists out there who can tell me what this is?

I am often told by people that I think too much, analyze too much, worry too much, etc. I really get tired of hearing that. I have found that most people that tell me that; don't think enough and the problems they have in their life are self inflicted due to not thinking!
My over analyzing has helped me to make some wise decisions. Most of my mistakes have been from NOT THINKING and analyzing the pros and cons enough! I am single and tired of being alone but all the men I get to know end up saying I overanalyze too much and this seems to be a barrier. I feel that if it's the right person for me, they will admire and accept my "over analyzing". Am I wrong to think that?

I can't stand Christians and their hypocrisy. What are some things you could say to them when they try to make you look bad and put you on a guilt trip? They go around talking about their morals and ideals and condemn other people to hell for not living up to them, but then they go and do the same things that they preach not to do. Then when you call them on it, they deny it or they go to their cover-all catch phrase, "Nobody's perfect!". I can never think of a good comeback that won't end up making me look bad. I especially cannot stand people that are otherwise cool people, real people who are down to earth, but then they get all touchy if you insult their religion. And I'm thinking, "You rebel, you have sex, drink, etc, etc. and now you suddenly stand for these backwards Christian values?" If these people really believed this stuff, then they would be priests or nuns. What are some comebacks or things you can say to a Christian when they start getting all prudishly moral on you?

A friend of mine sincerely claims to be happy, yet ,out of the blue, he attempted suicide and his attempt was very real.

There is probably some deeper mental problems then, right?

No, I am not the person that attempted it.

I was dreaming that a man was furiously kissing me and put his hand on my lower back and my back started to vibrate. the very unconfortable vibrations went up and down my back and i had to make myself wake up from that dream to stop it, but when i was wide awake my back was tingling from the vibrations i had felt in my dream...?? at one point in my dream it went up to my left ear and i remember hearing the pillow rattling and i WAS sleeping on myleft side with my back showing. I got very scared. is it normal to still feel something after you wake up? or was it maybe something that was happening in real life and I let it fall in my dream?

Why is it we as a society will train people to drive a car, but we do not train people to become better or more patient loving parents? Why is it that we as society are content to let our pride stand in the way of bettering ourselves for our families, when in reality many people could benifit from being taught even the most basic techniques of parenting(above and beyond changing a diaper)?

I am working on a Science Fair project that is about anthropology. I have been looking for the correct category of anthropology that this falls under, but I'm not sure. This is what the paper says that gave us the idea for this project:

"Dating is a Science Too"
"Did you know that there are reasons you pick the people you date? And we're not just talking about your dates owning a car or being the best looking in your class! Although, those are status symbolswhich are part of our culture. If you study why those symbols are so important to our culture, when they started and what status symbols are important in other cultures, then your studying anthropology."

This is what we're doing:
"Make up a survey for you and your friends. Ask them what type of people their attracted to. What color hair? Eyes? Personality?"

So... If you have any information about this topic it would be much appreciated. Also... If you know the category it falls under that would be helpful also.
