What to do, where to go...

I'm just so tired, and now I'm sinking into a depression. Thanks.

How you do that really depends on where you live. Go join a gym and workout and play basketball in the gym. Its hard for everyone,
but school has always been the easiest place even though my school days are years ago. I'm moving to NY in the BRonx. I hope its easy to make friends there because I'm going to need a few. Most people in the adult world have acquaintances or people they know. I'm open to be an anquaintance by e-mail if you want.

If you just want same-sex friends, try a small ad in the newspaper, asking for people who just want to go for coffee, chat, go shopping together, etc (perhaps in a group of 3 or 4, so the conversation flows). Lots of people are in the same boat. Keep the talk positive, so that you all have a fun time.

If you want a relationship, you could use an online dating site. Just type 'dating' into google. Or you could join a club, take a class or something where the people don't take the activity too seriously and there is plenty of time to talk. Get good at flirting (see link).

I am sorry to hear that. I have been there before. It's hard when you are socially depressed,to go and find people. Honestly, start with places you'd hang out, that way you share something in common. And pretty much go from there. You just gotta know where to look, don't force it. I hope I somewhat helped you,I could go on and on on places and things you should look for,but I don't want to bore you..if you honestly need to talk to someone, please don't hesitate to e mail me..I will listen. s.p.kennedy23@gmail.com

Target a person. Then develope a deep longing to know as much as you can about the individual. Then pursue that goal by talking to them (let them know your pursuing it, this is important)
Then assess what the indvidual really wants, and do as much as you can to give it to them. Then, slowly by slowly decrease your offers (I mean really slowly) and this will draw the individual in to you, making then interested in you. By then you will both be in ''synch'' and you have made exactly 1 friend. If you practice this then you can do it with multiple people. With standard resources, I believe this is the fastest way a person could make friends in society today.

find something u r talented at or grasp more easily than other things...such as an art or something and join a club or class dedicated to it...u can even, again, art for example...even if u can´t draw at all, sign up for a class in it and u´ll be able to find people who are interested in the same things as u and wah la...friends...
volunteer somewhere...
go to a cafe or look for flyers for upcoming events...
and try and put out positive energy...people like hanging with happy people...don´t worry,
good luck:)

Anywhere! You must have the courage and confidence to just walk up to someone and say "Hi!" Then just start the conversation from their. :)

Bars and Restos are nice places to go, but i am tired of those places.

You may also try school and work. Heck, try befriending your local fast food restaurant's drive thru person. :)

get yourself up and at'em, get up! and get out. life is to short to sit around and waste it. look around for a part time job working in the public, waitress, clerk, walmart, any where you will be sure to meet people. then you'll start back to feeling better. "if not then consult your doc.
good luck and take care!

You can meet people anywhere, you just have to have the courage to say hello.
