to help her? I've managed to get her to the doctors and he just basically said that medication is the last resort and to see how she feels in a few weeks, but day in day out i see her upset, depressed and with no motivation at all, if i try to push her to get up and do something she gets angry because she doesnt feel like doing anything, and then she gets even lower than before. She has lost her appetite and is not letting me get so close to her, but she has pushed everyone else away much more, so i need to be here for her, please somebody give me the answer on what do i do to help her quickly get out of this stage. I managed to get her out of the house last weekend when i suprised her with a weekend away, and she seemed better then, but once we got home she was back to the same again. How do i just get my happy cheerful girfriend back?

I seen one that asked if its normal for a therapist to cry, and most of the answers were "No, it's not". I'm not a therapist, I'm a recovering Alcoholic (22 years clean and sober) and to see another human being suffering brings out compassion, and to see that shine in their eyes when the pain starts to lift is a feeling that is so warming that it's overwhelming.

Suppose that a person wants to consume only two goods: pizza and leisure (watching tv).She wants to consume precisely one slice of pizza for every hour that she spends in front of the TV. The only way to get money to buy pizza is to work, that is to give up leisure. Namely, if she spends L hours in front of the TV, then she works (24 − L) hours. The wage is w.

(a) Write a formula for budget constraint (let Y be the number of slices of pizza that she consumes, let price of one slice be one)
(For this part i got the answer which is B=1*Y+w*L)
(b) Given the information on her preferences, find her optimal choice
(Hint: the tangency condition is useless here)
(I can't draw an indifference curve since the two goods are mutually consumed in exactly the same amounts. And how do we obtain an indifference curve by the way?)

Yeah I heard that in a lecture, where the exposer (an american guy) said that China, India, USA, Mexico, and some other european countries are going to be the most succesfull economies in the next 40 years, I mean I think that China and India are going to be succesfull but how is Mexico entering to this list if we still have a lot of old politics that don't let us grow like the non privatization of the oil industry? the exposer said that we will achive this place with projects like 'punta colonet port' that is going to be more important than the long beach port in California and other projects like 'silicon border' that is going to make of Mexico a major technology inventor and producer, but still I can't figure out how a country like Mexico will take this places from countries like Italy and UK, I mean I am Mexican (I live in mexico city) and I don't see this in my country, it looks like a very distant future, but stats show it, by the way where can I check this kind of information?

The pig-tailed snub-nosed monkey weighs about 7 kg (15 lb). It lives in primary forest, where it is primarily arboreal, only descending to the ground when disturbed. Its diet consists mostly of leaves and some fruit and berries. Most observed social groups are small (3-8 monkeys). These may be harem groups with more than 1 adult female or a monogamous group consisting of an adult pair and its young. Groups containing about 20 individuals have been observed in primary forest. Home ranges of 3.5 - 20 hectares (8.8 - 50 acres) have been observed. (Davies & Oates 1994).The pig-tailed snub-nosed monkey has only been recorded from the Mentawai Islands, off the west coast of Sumatra, Indonesia. In 1987 it was thought to occur on Siberut, Sipora, Pagai Utara, Pagai Seletan, and a small islet near the Katurei Peninsula, Siberut. Reasons for its decline include hunting for food and habitat loss, mainly due to logging.

Over the last few years I've noticed a disturbing trend towards how men are treated and responses to things men say.
For instance, women can joke about how stupid and unnecessary men are, but if a guy makes any joke involving words like "kitchen", each nearby woman's ears will perk up and heads will turn.
The other day I was in a debate about equal treatment and I brought up the topic of rape, and the woman I was debating with said men shouldn't ever have a place for rape counseling because they never get raped and because they do all the raping.
Since when does that kind of attitude fly? Yet I brought that up to fellow-classmates and many sided with the girl.
There are laws discriminating against men, there are social standards for men still being enforced by both genders, and there's a huge gender bias in how our kids are taught and treated in school.

I believe in equal rights, but it's getting ridiculous now. Men can't do anything without being afraid of legal repercussions.

Shouldn't UNICEF monitor the education in MUSLIM madrassas. I feel many isalamic children are being exploited and thought wrong things from childhood especially in Pakistan and bangladesh. These so called educational institutions seem to be breeding the future terrorists by teaching wrong aspects of religion.

Everywhere around us people allow self-interest to outweigh ethical behaviour. People lie - they lie to get jobs, they lie to get help, they lie to steal social wlefare, they lie to seduce other people, they lie on their tax returns, they lie to their parents, spouses and their children, they lie about incomplete homework (and often times parents support this), they lie about being late for work. All of these lies revolve around self-interest and selfishness, not to mention a total lack of personal responsibility. No answers involving religion will be considered, because some of the worst liars actually claim to believe in God. The reasons behind this have to be something within Western Civilisation that cause so many people to live such false lives.
