I seen one that asked if its normal for a therapist to cry, and most of the answers were "No, it's not". I'm not a therapist, I'm a recovering Alcoholic (22 years clean and sober) and to see another human being suffering brings out compassion, and to see that shine in their eyes when the pain starts to lift is a feeling that is so warming that it's overwhelming.

Congratulations on your recovery. It's a hard thing to do and it's wonderful that you have. It's also great that you continue to help others who need your support. Keep up the great work...There's great rewards for doing this.
As to whether I repeat someone elses question; I guess so....sometimes we ask something, then find out that others have wanted to know the same thing! It happens...
God Bless you.

People see a therapist for objectivity. A good therapist is a good person by nature. They want to help others, but crying is inappropriate and somewhat unprofessional. A good friend can listen to my troubles and cry and that's fine. They're not trained to help, just there to listen and empathize. A therapist should be held to a higher standard. They are professionals. Thus, all the no answers that were received by the original asker.

Sometimes I do just to make sure I heard their question right.
Congratulations on being 22 years sober and it's nice to know that you are so compassionate. You are a great person. God bless you.

To answer the original question, If you repeat the question, you are buying time to formulate an answer..it also allows the mind to dissect the question and understand it better
