I' almost drowned once while tubing in a river,
almost got my head squashed while sledding on
a metal disk, and was involved in several car
accidents (not my fault).

Tell me your stories of narrow brushes with
death you've had!

I don't recall white women fighting for affirmative action yet they have benefited more than black women and haven't been any fairer than white men in their treatment of minorities. I thought affirmative action was to correct racial injustice. Please enlighten me.

Look upon the strife in the world today! The newest of countries (Africa), the babies of the planet. The oldest of civilizations( The Middle East), the grandparents of life on earth. Look at the strife, hunger, war, disease, and pestilence that abound! Most of it, of their own doing?

Who does the baby sitting, who feeds them, who tries to care for them?

The teenagers do! The teenage countries do, not a millenia of existence all totalled, among them....

Who are these teenage countries?

My experience with arguments for ridding global poverty has led to responses of the nature that this idea is utopian. It also has a lot of similarities to the nationalism/socialsm movements of the Hitler regime.

Is something like eliminating global poverty feasable? Will those less fortunate not always exist? Are we just raising the poverty standards?

And yes, there is extreme poverty in the world, where people are malnurished and dying. That classification of people have always existed through history. Granted they have changed, there was a time when other parts of the world had extreme poverty. But throughout this "classification" of people's existance, over thousands of years and countless rich and powerfull regimes no solution has been found.

What are some projections of poverty reduction if we do commit what organizations such as one.org suggest the solution is?

Thank you very much for your time and concern.

Is it wrong for us to negatively criticize people who do not performing as we expect because we or others did not perform faster though these periods occured years, even centuries to millenia, or do we have a right to expect more and faster?

How much understanding should we give to their degrees of cultural advancement, expecially in the areas of liberalism, enlightenment, humanitarian concepts, et al?

I know this guy who seems to be really clever, intelligent, and very ambitious. He seems to have almost everything every one wants.

He already got control of a small orgization that will make some impact on international scale via social and medias if it continue to goes well and bigger. He's also a excellent amateur boxer and kickboxer, have been state champion in wrestling twice in high school. He have been to nine countries in last four years and even lived in two for some time. He's attending college and have been work closely with a well known high fashion photographer ever since beginning of semester.

He also seems to have awful lot knowledge over almost everythings. He never fail to impress me with his intelligent. Ability to handle problems with other person, it seems like no one have ever been able to get a upperhand over him at anything. He can be very tactful, sneaky, and clever or very blunt and more of a "shot first ask question later" type of person.

When people attempt to hug me, i either pull away or stiffen up. My dad left my family when i hwas 7, maybe that had something to do with it? Being this way has ruined many friendships and relationships. Any advice on how to overcome?

Not entirely sure why I feel this way. I'm really tired, and I know that that doesn't help, but ever since about 6pm I've been feeling kinda down, and like I could burst into tears. Before this I was feeling pretty good, I went shopping this morning and really enjoyed myself. Maybe I should just try and sleep it off, but I get the feeling that if I go to bed, that I will start crying.

This is definitely not intended to be a racist question, but I was simply wondering:
Ancient Asia (especially China) became a very advanced society for their time compared with the rest of the world, then Europe slowly started to expand their intellect (although still not as great as Asia's), but Africa always remained an underdeveloped society and achieved little progress compared with the Asians and Europeans. Do you suppose that maybe because of the rate of advancement of their different societies, Asian people generally have a higher learning capacity than white people, and white people generally have a higher learning capacity than black people?
(Please, no one be offended, I do not intend this to be a racist question at all)
