I used to say, during long arguments with my ex-boyfriend, that this wasn't true, b/c I knew he meant, "a heck of a lot of women become 'lesbian' only because they can't get a good man or because they've been hurt by a man"--in other words, that a woman's choice regarding sexuality was ALWAYS the result of her relationship with men. I hated that idea, and I still disagree with it. However, I do now think that some women turn to other women (if only temporarily) because they've been hurt by men and think that maybe women can give them what they're really looking for (commitment, trust, intimacy, etc.). Unfortunately, I also think that this doesn't work for many of these women, as they just aren't lesbians. Life sucks.

yes the gap between women and men is widening - we just dont like each other - and in the end it will hurt all of us

and blaming "men" or blaming "women" for everything isnt the answer

Behind much of the anger women have towards men you will find feminism. Men treat women better these days, if anything. What's sad is these women who have been duped are the ones who will lose out. Men are getting fed up with them and their primadonna attitudes and are looking to other countries for wives...countries where the women haven't been so radically brainwashed by feminism, and the media that pushes it, that they no longer can tell fact from fiction. Stepping outside the country is a good reality check, folks. You'll discover really just how far it's gone.

Edited to add that women in this country, because of their attitudes, aren't going to find men from other countries willing to put up with them. A lot of the men here still don't know any better, so you ladies better grab a good one while you still can.

You don't need a man to push you to explore the lesbian lifestyle. Obviously it is already in your mind to explore it and you need an excuse to feel comfortable trying it out. Who you gonna blame if you like it???

I feel it is that they don't understand men. They may have been hurt by man or maybe they were shy and never really had a relationship with a man and a woman came along and gave them pleasure affection. It feels good to be affectionate and maybe they never got what they needed from a man sexually. Woman know how to make each other feel good. Not only in sex but in emotions too.

I am only speaking from life experience - I am not a lesbian - but I do no woman personally who were so horribly abused by men that they have turned to other women because they do not trust the male species.

Well, if you're bisexual and choose to avoid men and focus on women, that's your choice. But no one magically becomes gay/lesbian because you don't like the opposite sex. You're either straight or you're not.
