NOTES:

-I KNOW THAT THE BEST OPTION IS SEEING A PSYCHOLOGIST OR PSYCHIATRIST BUT WHAT I'M REALLY ASKING IS ABOUT SELF-TREATMENT METHODS.

-I DON'T HAVE OCD. I DON'T NEED ADVICE. I JUST NEED YOU TO TELL ME IF YOU KNOW ANY OF THESE SELF-TREATMENT METHODS!!!!

THANKS!!

Obsessive-Compulsive disorder is not really something you can help yourself with. Most of the compulsions a patient has, he doesn't even aknowledge, nevermind be able to control.

If you think you have OCD or one of your friends or family has it, the first step is seeing your physician, and he will recommend a good psychiatrist. This disorder is difficult to overcome, but it can and will take over your life if it's not treated.

Edit: I noticed that you edited your post, unfortunately there is no real self-help procedure to help a person overcome OCD. There are a lot of books a person can buy, which will help the patient understand his condition, and be more aware of his behavior, but books like these will not treat the disorder, and will not improve the patient's life quality.

Besides psychiatric, psychological and drug treatment, an individual can not overcome this illness by him/herself, so i cannot recommend any procedure, because they don't exist.
