Tell us your belief, your opinion, your thoughts when you hear this statement or read this statement. IMO, you must first love someone in order to hate someone. And that it is also possible to love and hate someone (the same someone) at the same time.

Hate is such a strong word. However, so is Love. Can you really Hate .... I mean really hate someone?

When you love someone, you have invested a part of yourself in that person. People who you haven't invested yourself in can say something without it upsetting you. But the one you love can say that same thing and it will tear you to pieces. This is because you are part of one another. Because you have invested yourself in that person you will be impacted by what they say and do. Everything is simply magnified. The things you love, the things you hate. So, yes, there is a thin line between love and hate.

I have never liked let alone loved my brother's girlfriend and i can honestly say I hate her. I know hate is a strong word and i don't use it very often. I guess it isn't her I hate it is her personality. She is the most selfish , greedy self centred person I have ever met. Example: My parents rent a house from "HER" my brother is NOT allowed to own it , ( says her) In July the neighbours house caught on fire and burn out my mom's car, burned the new siding on my dad's shed and did some more damage to the house. An insurance claim was mage by "HER" the owner. she claimed the shed ( dad's) and work my dad did to fix the gate that was damaged. "SHE" received the money and "SHE" refused to reimburse my parents for the damages.. "SHE" also said that "SHE" is having my brother fix the work because "SHE" is money hungry and doesn't want to pay out the money received for the labour. How can "I" like or even love a person like that. THIS sort of thing has been going on with"HER" for the 17 years my brother has been with "HER"
As for my mom's car that wasn't covered because it was in the driveway. if she had parked it in the back yard t would of been covered....... hmmmmm says "HER" its their property not "HERS" but yet she claimed their shed that wasn't "HERS"

I believe that it is possible to love and hate someone at the same time. I think that we can only truly hate someone we once or still do love. If someone we love causes us severe pain, that is when hate sets it. I think it can be all-consuming, erasing the love, or exist alongside the love. People are strange.

Oh yeah, because when you care about someone and they hurt you than it causes hate. I think if you really neutral about somebody it can't turn to hate.
