Contrary to popular belief, dreams don't really mean anything. They are random firings of our neurons. Dreams are what happens when our imaginations run free unrestrained by the filter of reality.

Like hallucinations, dreams can seem pretty real while we're experiencing them. So when we wake up, we feel a natural tendency to attach some sort of meaning or importance to them, regardless of whether there actually is any.

I wouldn't pay your dream much attention. What matters in your day to day life is what's going on in your conscious mind, not your subconscious. (Some psychologists are even questioning the whole notion of a subconscious mind.) However you deal with the relationship between you & your boyfriend, just make sure it's always grounded in reality, so that you won't be mislead by random imaginings.

dream of his death = anger
writing to his parents via email = can't face responsibilities, guilt conscience

You have a dream of anger, guilt conscience. It is obvious that this is due to anger because he pissed you slightly. By projecting email to his parents shows how you feel about him. You use email to communicate with his parents symbolize there are some fear or communication block to his parents. Perhaps, in reality you do not have good communication with his parents. And somehow he gave you an impression that his parents do not like you. This is coming out from your subconscious mind.

You are seeing this argument as possibly the beginning of a breakup. You are beginning to look at your values and trying to determine if this argument might mean that you do not have the same interests. Since telling his parents is involved, you place a great deal of faith in this relationship but are beginning to have doubts.
