What parts of a Humpback whale's body help it to survive in it's habitat? Its structural adaptations.

I came up with the fact that they are big it would help them fight off predators but thats all I can think of.

When I go green I really lose weight, so why is it that cows do fatten up instead? I really do not understand how a cow could possibly be so big and bulky when they only feet on pasture. Some of you will surely think I am not for real, but I am not joking: I am asking because I really do not know the answer. Does anybody want to help?

Remember before giving your answer that both are mostly considered as same species , but both have big difference between their habits, shape, size, .....etc.

How in the WORLD could a living creature survive/LIVE encased within a tree or stone, yet obviously there's been many discoveries in history, of this fact.--that once a stone or tree is opened, this trapped being w/little to no air and NO food LIVES?
Okay, explain it lol
I'm so curious

I've often seen this particular insect. It appears quite common, but I never learned its name. It's got 6 legs and 2 antenna. It's back is flat, almost to the point of seeming to have no head (I'm not sure if it can fly), and at the back of its back is an upside down V in light read. It appears to move rather slowly, in what to humans would be a brisk walk, taking its size into account, which I'd estimate is 1-1.5 cm long, or maybe a half inch. Also, I live in NY state, where at certain times of the year they seem to be very abundent. I'm sorry I can't give much more specific information.

when i saw the spider it had a small nest (not a web) he looked allmost transparent or even lite gray. i went to get something to kill it with but now he is missing. ive had spiders in my shower before and it really freaks me out. i am so afraid that he is waiting for me to be naked and helpless to attack or something. i know it sounds stupid but how long should i wait to shower in that bathroom? when will i know he is dead from old age? its MY house NOT his!

They don't have webs... You never see them with anything.

My mum told me she once saw a house spider run along the floor and jump to catch a wasp that was flying low in the house. It missed though. Could that be possible?

I read this on the web but didnt understand clearly... Can they really crawl out of water when it drys up and find more water? It would be an odd sight! How far could they go? So can they breath air?
If this is true does this mean catfish must be very closely related to the fish that crawled onto land at the very start of evelution!
Thanks !!
