if it is confused it would not attack because according to research they act on prey's reaction such as running away. i have seen countless documentaries on animals not attacking prey young because they did not react to the danger and actually adopting the young. would this be the same if i had to do that??????????????

There seems to be a lot of overlap with some bears having 2 or 3 names. Are there 10 different species? Thank you.

*please read all*

very often now.. I hear about a new person being attacked in Florida.. with no survivers. Are you feeding the alligators ? Thats what some ppl here in New Orleans think.. b/c I've never even heard of an alligator attack here. I've swam in the rivers here since I was a kid.. and STILL do... i do water sports and the rivers here are packed with swimers on the weekends. The same rivers with the alligators... yet they dont bother us. Why is this !? Just to make sure.. i even tried searching for any articles about alligator attacks in Nola and couldn't find any... all that came up was Floridas. and both states have the same species of alligators.. This is a growing concern for me.. thinking it wont be long before they become aggressive here too..

No, it is not a dumb word joke. I actually have seen 3 of them so far in my garden and they look like black house flies, a bit bigger, but without te wings.

Any info on them would be helpful.
Area: Western Europe.

Here is the senario:
65 million years ago, in a very hot day, an adult female T-Rex (the female is larger than the male) is searching for a water source. At 7 metres tall, 12 metres long, and 7tons. It has 50 to 60 thick, conical, bone-crunching teeth. Large bite marks found on bones of other dinosaurs indicate that these teeth could penetrate solid bone.
She happens to come upon a river and approaches it slowly. But then a huge, tremendous male Deinosuchus (the largest crocodilian that ever lived) which is more than 12 metres and is more than 9 tons rises from the water to attack the Rex. The Rex turns to challenge the terror croc. At this point there is no turning back, there is going to be an epic and colossal fight between them. Who do you think would win this fight of the Titans?...

Now, I know all about their obligate mutualism with the fig flower but I'm wondering about a few other things.
-Do these wasps sting?
-Do they eat during their adult life? Or do they live on the reserves they accumulated as papae?
-What size are they? (must be pretty tiny to enter a fig's syconium)

I know the question is a bit complex but any information would be great.
