It's large, about the size of a tarantula spider, but it is an insect (6 legs and 3 body parts) with antennae, and appears to have a shell-like body, but not a cockroach. It has a large head and body & the legs are kind of short, by proportion. Its brown with subtle kind of striped pattern in its body. It's pretty ugly to me.

Can anyone help me figure out what this insect is?

Okay,so i found a shark tooth on the beach today. It's a pretty good size! I also have a friend who is a diver and found a pretty massive tooth near a ship wreck. I am just wondering if anyone can tell right off what kind of shark they might be from,Or if they are worth anything? They look completly different so im very curious to maybe get a history behind them! Any info is helpfull! Thanks! :-)

I live in Rockford, Illinois. I've never seen an insect that looked like this before. I thought it was a dandelion seed blowing in the wind. I caught it on my hand and felt little insect feet crawling on me. It flew off and I caught it again, and noticed it had wings hidden in it's cottony looking body. Does anyone know what this is?

Since the weather has been heating up, we've been getting these bugs in our house that look like craneflies but bigger and with large, reddish-brown bodies. I'm curious as to what they are and if they bite/sting/could be harmful, or if they're just freaky looking.

Or Maybe it's go to bed?

I live next to a meddow, that is great to walk in. If I go to late in the evening, it is occupied by many deer. I'm thinking of starting to go for my walks in the moring, before going to work. I don't want to disturb any deer. So what time in the morning would be late enough that the deer arn't there?

About a year ago I saw the most strange creature living in my shower, and no one I have spoken to has any idea what it might be. It was about 10mm long and looked exactly like a leaf on the outside (originally I thought it was a leaf attached to the wall by a spiderweb). Every now and again, a worm-like head (4mm long and white with a black head) stretched out of the top (or bottom) of the leaf structure and moved around very similarly to how a caterpillar head moves when feeling around for the next place to walk. The worm structure shot back into the leaf structure when there was a loud noise or some other disruption (water sprays etc). Does anyone know what this creature is!?

First they have to get into my pantry full of dry goods. Then they have to know to burrow through a cardboard box. Then they have to know to burrow through the sealed inner lining made of plastic or wax paper. How do they know whats inside that sealed box of Rice-a-Roni? Or Ramean noodles? Or Pudding? All this stuff is sealed up air tight, yet they come out of nowhere and know exactly where to go! What's up? How do they do this??!
