The Indo-Chinese and Sumatran tiger prey on Asian elephant calves. As a result the number of Asian elephant is cut down so they consume less vegetation, which the tiger uses for cover in stalking it's prey. If elephant numbers were not kept in check by this magnificent beast the forests would quickly become a savanna and that would be bad for all the plants, animals, and fungi in the ecosystem.

Hmmm...

Well depending on exactly where you are talking about of course you will various species of tiger... who other than humans is more or less the apex pred of that area. In other words anything they want in the area is up for dinner, everything from smaller species to larger such as elephant and rhino.

You also have Civits who will eat insects and smaller vertebrates.

Various species of bats who will eat insects, frogs and the like.

Many different species of snakes and Komodo Dragons who of course will prey on rodents, rabbits and the like.

Fishing Cat... of course it LOVES fish and other small critters.

Dholes... mainly go after deer but also know to go after wild pigs and other hoofstock. At times even small primates.

Could really go on and on and on... if there is one species you are looking for email me.
