There is lots of snow in the mountains, especially in winter. In the Sierra Mountains and in parts of northern California there is snow all year round, at the higher altitudes. It sometimes snows in the Mojave desert as well.
Wolves used to live in much of California, but were killed off by humans. Recently they have been re-introduced in Yellowstone National Park. While some people are very happy to have wolves again, others are afraid that they pose a threat to farm animals and people.

Parts of California (the mountains for instance) do get snow.

Currently there are no wolves in California, but it did have them in the past. The last known naturally occurring wolf was trapped and killed in 1924. Northern California could support wolves but there are no plans currently to reintroduce them there.

For more information on wolves in California check out the Defenders of Wildlife website.

Yes. Part of california is in the Sierra Nevada mountains, which are great skiing mountains.

And yes, wolves can live in California as well, though as far as anyone knows, none actually do. Apparently, the last wild wolf in california was seen in the 1920s.

Well we hardly every get snow in Southern Cali. But real close from here we do. About hmmmm.... maybe 45 or 50 miles from here or maybe even less. Now in regards to Wolves I don't know, but we have coyotes if that's the same thing.
