do you mean as they age? i know that older sheep tend to lose weight and some never put weight back on after they have lambs. but if your talking about wool shrinking while on the sheep that doesn't happen.

They don't shrink. They get sheared. Sheep are bred to be extremely wooly, and so have a good couple inches thick of wool, and when all of it comes off, they look smaller.
