And what does it taste like. I think it would taste a little like Panda and not entirely unlike cat. Anyone knows for sure?

MANATEE
Manatees (family Trichechidae, genus Trichechus) are large, fully-aquatic marine mammals sometimes known as sea cows. The name comes from the Spanish manatÃ, which itself comes from a Carib word meaning "breast."
Manatee meat has a mild taste and readily adapts to recipes for beef.Body and flipper meat cuts are excellent choices for burgers, casseroles, ground meat, soups and stews. Manatee...
According the the scattering of old-timers who are still around who remember their fathers bringing home manatee as food, it's better than steak. Sadly, I'll probably never get a chance to legally try it.
(Nowadays "conservationists" give us a bad name... Teddy Rooseveldt set aside vast tracts of American wilderness to insure that future generations would still be able to hunt their own meat..... that's true conservationism...)
