I was wondering this because it seems like hummingbirds have wings that are quite large for something that flaps 60 times per second. Is this kind of flapping only necessary for hovering, or are they like bees that have to flap impressively fast just to stay in the air. Also, if they don't, do you know the amount they would have to flap to hover without needing to move forwards? Just wondering.

I already know that you shouldn't try to run away because the wolf is way faster and if you run you'll instantly become prey and it will go after you but I mean what should you do? Like if the wolf has rabies obviously its gonna go crazy and its gonna attack but what should one do? Fight back? If so, how?

Does a naturalist have to study ecology?
Do wildlife biologists have to study plants(since they study ecology and they also have to see the interaction between the animals and plants and also what type of plants they need ?)

Dinosaurs were really ugly looking nasty beings, yet toy dinosaurs and stuffed ones are so danged cute. Even Barney's kind of cute. How do they do it? Do they line up kids in a toy test facility and see which dinosaur designs kids are attracted to? Or their parents are attracted to?

Last night there was a spider in my room. I think it was a daddy long legs but I am not sure. He was almost as bige as two toes. I was wonding what kind of spider is it. I know it can't be a brown recluse because it was smaller than a brown recluse. The spider was brown with skinny legs. So what kind of spider is it?

What is the purpose of why you need to boil sugar with water before you put it in the hummingbird feeders?

I know someone who does it without and they have about 30 during the summer who fight over it. I can't find any website which states why you should or should not.
