This is probably stemming from my fear of Rabies and extreme paranoia of one of my family members getting it.

What I want to know is if Bats are awake from Hibernation yet and do they wake up from Hibernating if they happen to be sick with Rabies?.

I'm honestly at lost at how my mind works but because a scare I had last year after my puppy had died from the Parvovirus(which at the time I thought was Rabies because of her vomiting foam).

The reason I ask this is because the other day at about lunchtime (March 20th), we were playing with styrofoam plains and one landed in a bush, my little sister retrieved it and(thanks to my paranoia) I instantly thought that a Bat was in the bush and bit her without knowing.

I went over and shook the bush and surveyed the area a few moments later to see if anything was in the bush or laying on the ground, but as I SHOULD'VE expected, there was nothing.

I was wondering what horses were bred for these places. I need to 'create' a breed of horse based on existing horses and ponies that can survive (with some shelter) a long and very cold winter. It would have to be sturdy, have a good endurance and be strong.

What horse/pony breeds come close to those guidelines?

Hello,
Does anyone know how I can make myself available to help research teams tag baby sharks in lagoons?
I know this might seem like an out there questions, but I'm interested in helping the Shark population and I'd love to join a research team in investigating or tagging baby sharks as I have no experience with mature sharks.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Their vison spectrum generally is so much better than ours, could it be possible they can see certain chemical residues and learn to avoid them? A recent study of mine on organic food choices suggests as much.

I'm doing some research, and I was curious about the habitats of bobcats, lynx as well as cougars - do these cats live in western North Carolina?
While we're at it, are Salmon found there? What's a popular catch? Trout?
Thank you everyone for any help - much appreciated :)

Today I heard one common call that starts with two rising whistles and ends with a series of cherps.
Tweet Tweet, chu chu chu chu chu.

The second call starts with a series of rising whistle followed by 3 to 4 distinct falling whistles.
too-ee too-ee too-ee, choo, choo, choo

Is there a different meaning behind each whistle?
