There are many different kinds of shrimp.
Some live in freshwater, some live in saltwater.

i would use a brine shrimp net, scoop up the brine shrimp, rinse under tap water and feed to fish ... i rinsed quite thoroughly with the water quite strong ... and i did not kill one dwarf puffer fry feeding them that way daily for almost six months ...
